Iran Pushing the Envelope

There are extreme warning signs out there, kids...IRAN...flexing, I guess you could call it...shooting down the US drone, for a starter...and now, detaining a couple, like TWO UK tankers...British ones...and it's a different reaction than the one that Donny put forth...their words, the Brits, have teeth...I keep thinking that Trump's stance is connected to Putin...hey...my point is this...we are on the verge of conflict...real conflict...that we may get involved in, by the connection we have with Great Britain...we need a negotiator, not a clown in control...

Hey, whatever happened in Venezuela?...the 'inevitable' overthrow of the government, apparently was squashed...have you noticed that there is NOTHING being released anymore about this?...Trump and his regime, said that they were behind the revolution...but were told by Putin to stay out of it...did we?...this bother you at all?...

Here in the mainland, we are watching Trump dodge accusations after accusations...personal and political...seems like he spends a lot of his time, defending himself, going to self gratifying pep rallies, Tweeting, and golfing...but...running our country?...too much time for the former...

The mighty Padres are sinking fast...in just one week...that is how tight it is in the west...2nd to last and out of the 'possibles' for a playoff spot...of course, it would take a 5 game win streak to get back into it...so, let's not panic...yet...BUT...putting together pitching, hitting, and defense in one game, appears to be a very hard proposition...right now, we are brutal on fielding the pelota and then throwing it, to someone who can catch it...

The Open...over the pond...blimey, we can't get the US dudes to get a win there, can we?...JB Holmes?...Jordan Spieth?...let's see how moving day works out for us...

50 years since Woodstock...the little singing gig, that got outta control...people were hungry for change...and that was the beginning of the 'hippie movement'...that grew and grew...so upset with the government's war in Vietnam...

The end of July and all of August is the time for reunions...people getting back together to talk old times...my high school group, I understand still prepping for next summer's...good gawd, it will be our 55th!...woah, can't be...I need my calc...if yours is this time around, do have some fun...and take pix...

A sidelight here...with all these people dressing up and flaunting their costumes here at Comic-con, I have no idea who they are supposed to be...other than Wonder Woman, and Batman...the rest?...I dunno...do you?...

Safety at beisbol games...the ball parks have increased their netting down the baselines...more is needed...to protect the fans from the line drives...and the splintering of the bats, is no longer an issue this season, it appears...they must have different type of wood...nobody talks about this...

More...shit...Trump refuses to go to the NCAAP Convention in Detroit...why?...they want to ask him questions...he does not like that format...ha ha...he prefers the song and dance version in the south...where he can have Roger Stone lead chants as he spews his hatred and rhetoric...I digress...imagine him responding to the racial innuendos...

 Are you a follower of the summer CBS series, Big Brother?...a reality show that whittles down contestants one by one...each week...no worse example of bullying, cliques, lying and a cheating....or, should that be 'better example?'...something like that...there is one gal, in particular, and she is the worst...the worst, Jerry...

Finally...have you ever thought of getting a tat?...like a tattoo?...if so, you have to wear stuff so it shows the bloody thing off...if you are a lady, put one on your arm, or leg...if you have a flat tummy, then one can go there...same for the blokes, I suppose...but, if your aged, it's not a good look...but, you still have the urge...get one on your arse...I am, a peace sign...so...I'm gonna get me some funky Levi's, with a hole in my seat...that shows me tat...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
