The Horse Returns

It sure feels great sleeping in your own bed...er, my own bed...how are all of you doing in my absence?...yes, I missed you too...it is amazing the daily rituals one gets in and OUT of...sure, posting of my thoughts on a routine basis is one of those...having my own computer to use is another...so much easier to type on...er, with...whatever...

So many random thoughts as we traversed the west...well, Cali and Oregon...first of all, the change of topography is severe and at the same time, beautiful...the land is taken up by many farmers doing this...growing vineyards...grapes to maketh the wine...in itself, is so dang pretty...the color green is deeper in Oregon...yet, the redwoods of northern Cali are breath taking...the base of those trees are humongous...imagine the years of those rings...

As I have been saying how nice it is to be home...clean everything...bath, shower, pixels with many options (ha ha), this that and whatever...we still have this thang for Bend, OR...and will continue to pursue it...of course, that is all predicated on the sale of the condo...which will not be done for at least 6 months...perhaps, longer...no prob...it is way cool here...

Eureka...love the name of the Northern Cali city...which emerges on the 101 after the descent from Crescent City...the one thing that jumped out at us...was the number of homeless...that was not evident in any of the cities north from there...the reason?...have no idea...but, there were signs everywhere, that said to not give change to the beggars...really, a big disappointment...

The trees everywhere are just so awesome...the lushness of them...the water falls...the rivers...it's all so fresh smelling...not sure if I can describe it well enough...it is a must see and do for ALL of you...not that the beach is not as good...just different...and equally as tantalizing...in its own way...

Yea so...

What has Trump been up to?...the one thing that is a constant, are the antics of the bloke...so well documented EVERYWHERE we went...ha ha...I know he has a base, that is supposed rock solid...but, every person we met up with...had the same reaction to him...distrust...so where are these people that are his base?...I reckon that it isn't what he thinks...

Iran is in a peculiar position...they are hurting financially due to the Trump tariffs on them...the one thing that he pulls on every country he can...and, they are trying to sabotage us...in return...I think trying to get us to pull the trigger militarily on them...and get the rest of the middle east upset at US, like the USA...

THIS is the one thing that scares me so...the idea that he is thinking for the good of our own people...that HE can pull the trigger on yet another war...anywhere...supposedly, he needs the consent of Congress to do so...but, he blatantly disregards any rules that have been set forth...laughs at the notion of 'rules of law'...he makes it be known, loud and clear, that subpoenas mean nothing...

However, the notion of going into battle...is as disturbing as it can be...is the guy stable enough to handle this type of crisis?...let's hope those in the assistant's chairs are ready to react...to calm his actions down...there is a lot of 'hope'...are those Repub Senators aware of really what is going on?...

How about them mighty Padres?...topsy turvy...streaking...first losing 5 straight...then winning 4 straight...something like that...showing glimpses of growth...then, in the same week, of 'uh oh, here we go again'...we do have some fine young arms in the minors...one being McKenzie Gore, just a waiting to show his stuff in the bigs...

The NBA draft went on...the other day...in the precursor, was the LaLa Lakers doing a big trade to land the Brow....gave up a lot to get him from Norleans...Pelicans?...what a name for them...I digress...the one thing that had me interest was where the Duck's Bol Bol would land...yes, a project...but, in the land of bigs shooting 3's...he fits...somewhere...got picked by the Heat, then traded to the Nuggets...a good spot for him, kids...

Happened on the collegiate baseball playoffs on the pixels last eve...Louisville vs Vandy...witnessed the L pitcher lose it...not the game, but his mouth telling the V players to, well, the F word...for the benefit of the opponent and the rest of the baseball world...mistake...and this...I did not see his coach try to reprimand the dude...things happen, but the coach needs to step up and earn his cash on this...

I have played 13 holes of golf in 22 days...imagine the catastrophe when I return to the links on Monday...FORE! left and right...

Apologize for repeatedly using the word 'everywhere' today...I am a tad bit rusty...
