Gerrymandering

Morning, all of you early risers out there in the land of the web net...the political world has been abuzz with quite a few happenings...as we have slept...some are earth shattering, and some are just for show...but, one item just jumped out at me, as our Supreme Court wants to get involved in the election system we have....hmmm, but how?...

On a much smaller comparison, the same sort of thing happened way back when the Horse was in the teaching field...switching boundaries to get some sort of equality in the distribution of people in the schools...called GERRYMANDERING...my gawd, just an awful name...almost as bad as indigenous people...

One school had an advantage over the other...'better' kids went to one school over the other, perhaps, others...in the same school district...alas, the change of the boundaries were made for equality sake...so we were told...some schools went to the fad of the time, 'forced busing'...to accomplish the said goal...sure, we might think that it was to give the less fortunate a chance at 'better' schooling, er, education...how'd that work out?...

Which has been an issue in the last Demo debate that popped up with VP Joe Biden and Kamala Harris...at the time, he didn't like it, and she was a benefactor as a student...I digress...

Our Supreme Court is attacking the concept...switching boundaries for VOTING purposes...some may say to benefit one party over the other...and there we go...is this used for local level items?...as I don't see how it affects nationwide things...but...why is the Supreme Court ruling on it?...there must be some significance for their interest...

Number 2...

Donald Trump made a giant step for mankind...well, he would like to say that...as he did what no other US Prez has done...set foot on North Korean soil, well, concrete...in a gesture of good will between the 2 countries...a very happy Kim was there to greet him and pose for some very opportunistic photos of the grand event...

This could be a good thing...whatever it takes to sit down at the table and talk armistice...with that country...is of benefit for all...I'm sure that South Korea and Japan HOPE that it is for real and not a publicity stunt...well, the World does, too...

This is breaking....the new WH press secretary, Stephanie Grisham, was injured in a scuffle with some North Korean guards, as she was paving a way for the US journalists to get access to the Kim/Trump meeting...so much for 'good will'...

However, in his 'gallant' trip abroad, he (Trump) took along his daughter Ivanka...not quite sure what her position is...do YOU know?...and she was videoed trying to commingle with the leaders of Europe...totally embarrassing for all concerned....which begged the query, 'what is she doing there?'...

Number 3...

The latest poll...the top 3 of the Demos has had some changing...don't make too much of this...cuz, it will bee bop and scat a whole lot in the next year...but, the leaders are VP Biden, Bernie, and now, Kamala...not sure when the field of 24 gets shaken up a bit...as I said yesterday, the donors have to say no to the improbable wannabes....

My latest poll...'we' call it the Horse Poll...has a different result...my top 3 are Kamala, Bernie, and Mayor Pete...who can stand up and beat down the incumbent?...go face to face and make him wither in his shoes...there is a vast amount of time left, but, this is what I am looking for...my mind is not made up...

Da sports...

The mighty Padres are flexing their muscles and their YOUTH...in another smash mouth W at Petco...lambasting the team from Saint Looey....5 dingers and a solid 12-2 victory...shhhh, don't look now, but SD is in the running for a wild card slot....ah, as above, there is a lot of time left...

All stars?...figure it will be closer, Kirby Yates...and since the manager of the Bums picks the reserves...maybe he might choose another Pad?...wishing and hoping, more than a reality....

The NBA blokes go a scattering about today, rollicking into their new towns...maybe, that should be frolicking....keep an eye out on Kawhi, KD, and Kyrie...might there be some trades, too?....CP III may go somewhere new...and your Blazers will stay pat...

Such a great story in the PGA...as a 36 year old has not only picked his life back up from a tragedy...where he lost his parents and his girl friend in an airplane crash...but has found his game...and is rocking the field in Detroit...Nate Lashley...not sure if I have ever pulled for a guy MORE to win an event...

Did you see one of the names in the upper echelon in the LPGA T?...none other than Paula Creamer...the Pink Panther has re-emerged!...another hope for a nice finish for her....been like forever...

And...

This whatever cold that we have...not only got us bad, but kept us from being with the grand baby...boo...do any of you out there in Horse land have it?...ugly stuff...

4th of July big bang...so hope we are well enough by then to party down, Garth...

Beisbol should not be played on a soccer field...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
