A Truce

An ongoing issue for the past 6 months, maybe longer, is the trade war with our biggest competitor...China...continual threats of increased tariffs...to a country that seemingly makes a lot...make that perfectly clear, LOTS of items we purchase...thus, along with the increased tariffs, comes an increased price tag for the common man or woman...in the USA...just speaketh the truth, you Repubs...for some reason, and I have no idea why...there has been a sudden truce brought forth by the two nations...A TRUCE...so that the leaders (?) Trump, and Xi, can sit down and foster up a NEW trade agreement...I dunno, kids, it smells to me a bit...fishy...hope my instincts are wrong...

No truce for a couple of Prez...from our country...as Jimmy Carter suggested that Trump won his seat due to the influence of Russia...he wouldn't have otherwise...of course, the na na na na, of Donny couldn't let it go...and called Carter 'a bad President'...'terrible and a forgotten president'...enuff said...

An under the line, sports type of story...the USA ladies beat France in a very hotly contested soccer match in Paris...which, by the way, is going thru a massive heat wave...some scientists are saying that it is a direct result of global warming...anyhoo, the star of the game, was the gal who has been a thorn in the side of Trump...another of those verbal battles...Megan Rapinoe...scored the 2 goals that led to the W...said that she will NOT go to the White House, if asked...Donny said that he wouldn't ask her anyway, you have to win it first...something like that...na na na na...however, she was asked to come to the House of Reps...by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez...it's just a game...wait, what is?...

Why am I more at ease, when Trump is OUT of the country?...hmmm, where is Melania?...maybe, she is more at ease when he is outta the country, too...

Where is this coming from?...but your guy, Donny...has suggested that Kamala Harris is getting too much credit for her debate performance...as she was targeting VP Joe Biden...does he not want to face her in the future?...ah, have heard no nicknames for her by him, yet...

This is THE day that the NBA dudes who opt to go team hopping, can do so...so much hoop de do, about where Kawhi Leonard might sign...KD...and Kyrie...as the leaders of the crop of 'stars'...Kawhi is a must for every team...KD has the ruptured achilles and may never play again...at least as he was...and Kyrie is a problem child wherever he lands...HOWEVER...I will say, that if he lands in LaLa Land, that makes them a contender...even with his behavior probs...

Adam Lambert...who came in 2nd in the ludicrous AI voting years back...is still going strong...did a gig on GMA the other morning out of NYC...and his rendition of Queen's 'Another One Bites The Dust' was hair raising...he, my good friends, is awesome...

So, what are ya'll doing for the celebration of the 4th of July?...here at the home, we have a big bang bash that is 2nd to none...well, it's the only choice...so it truly is 2nd to none...have a live band rocking the 60's, 70's and well, whatever...and if this is your FIRST party here...you have to get in line early at the steam table to get the good grub...just a hint...
