A Typical Friday?...NOT!

Let's just keep playing hoops...the words of the NBAers, the Denver Nuggets and the home team, the Portland Trailblazers...in game three of the west semis...the winner of it, has the pivotal edge...a no doubter...and the outcome?...just went on and on...took FOUR OVERTIMES, kids...4...as it usually does, it was a key miss that was the difference...a missed FT by their (Denver's) C, the Joker...that paved the way for the Blazers win...

Both teams had their best dudes out playing in all of the OT's...yup, the bodies became weary...and, go figure, two of the well rested bench guys, from PDX, hit key shots to help finish off the game...Rodney Hood and Seth Curry...it was NOT a masterpiece of great play, but it was a show of perseverance...and pride...gulp now, the reffing wasn't all that bad...I can't believe I wrote that...

Our day started as we took out to NOT my fav place, Walmart...to get thangs for the RV, that we now have officially named it...drum roll please...Cosmo, the Peterman Tour Bus...the short version is Cosmo...and, as we were meandering about the store, got a call that there was an offer on the condo...oh my...

It met all our demands...and that's it...we threw back a counter, that was promptly accepted...and there we go...the finals, are dependent on the release of the normal contingencies...in less than 3 weeks, we will be in the next phase...egads...and, we just got word, that our house in the desert won't be finished until June 20...thus, we have to be rolling about in Cosmo for 3 weeks or so...the adventure has begun...

Over at Petco, the mighty Pads were nursing a 3 run lead most of the night, versus the bloody Bums and their ace, Jared Kushner, oops, wrong dude...ha ha...make that Clay Kershaw....until they weren't...ended up losing it in the 9th...dang, it is a test...had opps, but did not get big hits...the mark of a good team...THEY did, and they are a good team...right now...it's a loooong season...

Hey, like real serious stuff...Israel is reporting that over 90 missile attacks came their way from the Gaza Strip...imagine what that is like...and...North Korea resumed firing rockets, too...into the sea...all the while, Donny and Putin spoke over the tele...about the Mueller Report, as it is reported...let's see, Trump will talk to Putin but not Mueller...

The Kentucky Derby is today...I have made me bet via TVG...and will try to get on over to Striders to do mas...but, I am sure we will be at the RV site, adjusting Cosmo...for parts of the day...

That 4 OT game was the longest in NBA playoff history since 1953...let's see, after 2 OT's you have to go for a 3 ball only?...ah no...kidding...NOT like the NFL's version of extended play...

A Boeing 737 jet slid off the runway into a river in Florida...all 143 on board were safe...wonder if the gators were circling about?...ewww....Jacksonville?...

In the NBA, one of the sidelights to the playoffs is where the 'elite' players are going to wind up in the next season and well, beyond...rumors abound about KD...who you WOULD want...and Kyrie, who you WOULD NOT want...

 One of the nice things about having a Mac, is that there are so very few instances of the computer dreaded 'virus'...alas, one has popped up on mine...when I try to Google something, a second screen pops up and it is Bing...so, I got some malware...it quarantined it for awhile...now it is back...any of you Apple dudes out there that has a clue?...

Gosh, we were up early this am....

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
