Pavlov's Theory

The Tuesday version of the NBA playoffs, had one thing mighty different in all 3 games played...infused by the incredible comeback win by the Clip Joint the nite before, over the post season fav, the Golden St Warriors...the item?...in your face defense...like what Pat Beverly did to Kev Durant...which changed the way that GS attempted to get into their offense...stunted them...

The method, is extremely effective and needs this to accomplish it...loads of energy...which in the NBA is NOT the mantra...and, the referees to ALLOW it...which they are doing...totally changes the game...grabbing, impeding movement, smack talking...all OK...hmmm...what did KD do?...shoved off...got hit with offensive fouls...let his temper take over...threw the ball away at an alarming rate...all this by the 'new defensive tactic' by Beverly, a mere 8 inches shorter...

The result?...others doing the same...tempers will take over...always does...fights?...they are a coming...stay tuned...

The mighty Padres...got swept at home to Buddy's Rockies...egads...did not think that would happen...man, it's a loooong season, so...let's hope the Redlegs are more of a feast for us...we have tix for Saturday...

Highly anticipated Mueller Report hits the Congressional floor tomorrow...rumor mill is that Donny is upset...that not enough stuff has been redacted...'no collusion, no obstruction'...his cry...

The Futures were up today...look at the tech market as the positives...the gas prices are up, too!...thank you DJT...

Finally, I must tell you all, that my good friend, Handicapper Andy, has passed on...so sad...as he had been battling cancer for at least a couple of years...RIP...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
