How are you on these NBA matchups?...certainly drives the pixels, huh...ESPN, ABC, and TBS (TNT?)...for sure, the next in the west will be a doozy...probably dictate the direction of the finals...the Warriors beat the Clip Joint in a very bizarre series...4-2...now, move on to play the team that the Horse figures to be the one to beat in the league, the Houston Rockets...er, the Beard and his whiskers...

Who will win?...hey, I am the furthest from a prognosticator...but, feel that the Beard has a great shot at this one...this time...right now...cuz?...the way the game is officiated...touch fouls, that seemingly apply ONLY to him...iff, the refs continue what they have done all season long...which will bring the ever temper ladened Warriors to the brink of...combustion...sure, that's why they play the games...good TV...

The Blazers await the winner of the Spurs/Nuggets set...now at game 7, in Denver...listen, PDX has a great chance at beating either of those teams...another RIP CITY summer?...gosh, there have been some beauties in the past...fingers crossed...oh yea, I could care less about the east...not at all...

I don't really get the euphoria of the NFL draft in Nashville...what was that all about?...why so many people gathering?...was there something else going on?...200,000 + fans...for the picking of the players?...call me confused...

Taylor Swift looks different...right?...not sure what it is...maybe she is just getting older...or made up like that, for her premiere of 'Me'...call me confused...deux...

Trump speaking at a NRA rally...well, he has to find someone, er, some blokes, who will cheer and not jeer him...well, not all were enamored with him...as a dude was arrested for throwing a cellphone at him...hey, Donny, try a gig in San Francisco...ha ha ha...

Remember when W was talking to the Iraq press and some 'reporter' threw a shoe at him?...

The mighty Pads won game one in DC...4-3...surviving a bases loaded 9th...Renfroe with a dinger in the 8th (oops, make that the 9th) for the deciding run...'somethings happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear'...

KK, is seeking to become a lawyer...ah, an attorney of law...let's see, don't you have to go to college first?...then, a law school next?...er, maybe even get a GED?...call me confused...maybe, someone can take the test for her....oops, that shenanigan has already been done...and caught...

The ratings for American Idol have been down...enough that there is talk about cancelling the series...hey, kids...take a look if you haven't...there a couple of 'stars to be' in the group of 8...really...

A cherry in the martini, is when the college team wins the football or hoop crown, they get to go to the White House for a celebratory lunch...meet the Prez and get the glad hand...pix and all...however, the latest basketball winner, Virginia, has chosen to NOT GO...the Donny syndrome...

We did something we hadn't done for awhile...headed out to Mission Beach for an afternoon in the sand...perfect weather...light breeze...bright sun...we take our beach chairs...a Padre blanket...put on the Beats and boogie down....watch the surf and the surfers...gosh, it is great...takes our minds off of the things 'we can't control'....

I cringe every time I hear Trump's voice...seriously...it bothers me that much...his constant bellowing out...near shouting...I turn it off immediately...anyone out there, have the same response?...and, I am not talking about agreeing or disagreeing with what the bloke is screaming about...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
