Good lawdy, the conclusion to one of the better NBA playoff games...where solid play was the norm...and not the exception...both teams hitting clutch shots again and again...had big leads, and the other came back with beautiful runs...game tied...an OT lurking, as Damien Lillard, the...make that THE star of the Portland Trail Blazers...had the ball in hand...guarded by one of the best defenders in the league, Paul George...as he calmly, did a step back and launched a 37 foot jumper...to WIN the game and the series...his 50th point of the match...bedlam...BEDLAM!...the shot heard around the league...

Down here in San Diego...the gentle wind is bringing us a change in atmosphere...as the mighty Padres are churning out things that we are not used to...ah, like wins...got numero uno in a 2 game set versus the Mariners last eve...as Reyes hit a couple of dingers...and the clincher was an ESPN potential highlighter, when C Austin Hedges hit a 2 runs homer...that was in the glove of Seattle's CF, but when he hit the wall, the ball, popped out and over the fence!...top that off, was a miraculous put out by Hedges on a dribbler down the 1B line...where he threw the bloke out as he is airborne...today?...a day game...weird schedule...

How any nation can put up with another who does public beheadings is beyond comprehension...Saudi Arabia...37 (odd number for today, huh) people were killed this barbaric way...yesterday...something is wrong with the world, if nothing is done about it...where is the civilization?...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
