April Foolish

The passage of the months, which seems to go faster...as one...well, we age a bit...egads, did I say that?...anyway, the day that so many cherish to pull pranks on others...April 1...the oh so named 'April Fools Day', appeared to lack its luster...right now...heard and read so little about the jovial tricks that people were pulling...right?...as we are in serious times in the US of A...I blame the present inhabitant of the White House...ah, the joke is on all of us...

An attitude permeates your mood...and it's really not a mood swing...the feeling of helplessness that is dictated by Trump...now, I may have said 'leaders', but he is in a world of his own...makes his own decisions...without the aid of PEOPLE...these latest ideas of his...shutting down the border completely...ah, the southern border...closing shop on Obamacare...minus a replacement...April Foolish...

Alas, he has recounted his Obamacare purge, until after the next election...much to the chagrin of the party that he supposedly represents, the Republicans...but, listen...they don't have a decent enough replacement either...leading by the seat of his pants...doesn't that even worry you a bit, you MAGA hat dudes and ladies?...

Let's move on...

The once proud and mighty...the guys UCLA hoops...flailed about again this season...actually fired their coach 10 games in...had an interim, that they had no plans to keep...why then?...and were trying to lure Kentucky's John Calapari...well now, Kentucky caught wind...and signed him for LIFE!...wowser...locked him up, so to speak....

Here is an issue...the NBA is about to abolish the 'one and done rule' for the kids that are about to be drafted into the league...they don't have to go to one year of college...these are the ones that Calapari is so adept at signing...so, now, he has to find the next level of players...that PROBABLY will not ever play in the NBA...hmmm, the true coaches out there, will now flourish...I'm not saying he is not one of the true coaches, but, he is not one of the better ones...ha ha...

The ladies NCAA Final 4 is set...the cream has risen...Notre Dame vs Connecticut and Baylor vs Oregon...the early on guess is that the Irish are the favorites...long shot are the Ducks...nevertheless, it is very entertaining basketball...

In the guys, it is Virginia vs Auburn and Michigan St vs Texas Tech...just saw the odds of the Vegas boyz...the Cavs are a 38% fav...with the way this T has gone, do NOT count out the Tigers...

Shut down players...go back even 3-5 years, and nobody did this...if your team was out of contention for the playoffs, they never sat their star dudes...in the NBA...now, it is common place...the April Foolish joke of them all, is that the LaLa Lakers are doing so with their new star, LeBron James...to rest his groin...give me a break...this franchise is in disarray...they probably will fire their coach, like its his fault...bring in a dude who will listen to James and will sell his soul out...

Hey, there were some responses to the Horse's idea of making the 3 pointer a real heave ho...I thank you for that...just what would the Beard do then?...

It's pretty transparent...the Padres have 4 nice starters in place...the 5th guy, is a long shot...got pummeled by the new team in town, the DBacks...it's a look see for tonight...can we rebound?...

Finally...the place where I get me hairs cut...the barber shop...is a far cry from when I first went to one...like in me teens...where ALL the barbers were men...now, most of 'em are gals...anyhoo...there was a lively discussion being bantered about the fine establishment...that I was only listening to...one of the barberisses was talking about her dream of walking on the Great Wall of China...which, of course, led to the name of the wall that Trump was going to build...they said, it had to have a name, right?...five chairs, five barbers, five clients, and NO ideas came forth...you got one?...
