Opening Day

Clean out your pom poms...find the SD caps of yesteryear...dig deep to proudly display the Padre bubbleheads...sure enough, it is OPENING DAY out at the old ball yard, er, Petco Park...the new and improved blue and orange...hmmm, is that blue and gold?...soon to be brown and yeller...or, is it to be brown and orange?...something like that...to be switched over to, like permanently, unless, the management changes back...what?...

Them Pads are hosting the San Francisco Giants, with their lead guy, MadBum, on the mound...a perennial problem for SD...alas, this, make that, THIS is another year...the kids have grown...the acquisition of a bonafide star in Machado...used to be...the bulk of the crowd was the opponent's gear...so many SF caps and jerseys it was disappointing...not now, kids...we are gonna see the masses in SD...

Will it stick?...the unbridled enthusiasm?...gotta win, gotta win...the magic number of season victories, for this franchise, has historically been 70...betting the over under has always been an issue...I have NOT been to Vegas, thus, I do not know their line this time around...but, I may get there soon...and drop a C note on the over...unless, it is like 85...

Ahem, I have to get into the debacle of the AG Barr synopsis of the Mueller Report...the audacity of the bloke to think that what he says is going to suffice for the rest of the people in this country...as I have said all along, if there are no problems, then why not release it in its entirety?...'trust us'...right...then Trump, gleefully boasting that there is 'no collusion, no obstruction'...wait a minute, Donny...Barr didn't exactly say that...

Trump wants to go further...his desire?...pardon all his henchmen who lied for him in the process...and, if he could, he'd like to arrest anyone in his path over the past 2 years that was involved with the accusations that were part of the Mueller Investigations...you know, like what a dictator would do...furthermore, he'd want to be able to control what the press and the pixels release...this smell to you?...beyond odious...

Of course, the Demos won't let him...neither will the Free Press...it will take longer...it will take diligence...but the TRUTH will persevere...always has, always will...the watchdogs are just now MORE vigilant...

The Colbert Show...the silly late night talkie on CBS...with the host, a mouth that roars...met his match last night with his guest, Charles Barkley...who, my good friends, was extremely entertaining...dominated the attempt of Colbert to humor him...who tried to talk sports, and he was sadly out of his league...ah, 'stay in your lane, bro'...whatever that may be...hmmm, Chas could do this gig...might be a grand idea...

Yessiree Bob, the Big Dance continues back up today...you still have a chance?...if you took chalk, you probably do...even for a hoop junkie, like moi...I only like the last couple of minutes of these games...really...too much basketball...ha ha...

Out I went to the links...finally...have only played like twice in 3 weeks...a needed fix for me system...alas, the boys weren't there!...what?...they canceled without the Horse being aware...so, I hooked up with the Bozo Boys, and had a funky time...the golf?...I was turrible...the weather?...perfect...gotta change putters...again...to the storage room, Robin...

Hey, did NOT know that the PGA match play thinger, started on a Wednesday...just happen to catch Tiger at the end of his match...now, I can watch a full round of golf...go figure...it's on the Golf Channel...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
