Daylight Savings

Did you remember to 'spring forward?'...this phenomena that most of the USA does...then, later on, 'falls back'...egads...leave it alone...save as much sunshine for after 5 that one can, is my suggestion...some states do, like Arizona...yet, I have read where some people would want it the other way...can't please everyone...

This weather pattern is puzzling...not only have we had more rain since we moved down to 'sunny SoCal'...than ever...but, we have had them cold days, too...just odd, as no other year has been like this....

We had a coupon for Flemings...and last nite was the chosen one...it is the 'steak place'...one of the top 4 in our area...superb!...really, you can't go wrong with any of the best spots, ie, Eddie V's, Ruths Chris, and Mortons...the ambiance?...Flemings and Eddie V's the clear winners...the food?...all 4 are equal...therefore, depends on what coupon you have...

In the ongoing battle with our old dishwasher...the Bosch...as you know, the home warranty service finally threw their arms up, and gave us $ to get a new one...the opening only fits a Bosch...and that's what we replaced it with...an 800 series...and listen to me, mates...it is grand!...now, about our heating system...

This from 'I just needed it' file...as we were basking in the sunshine in the desert last week...we were served a very nice glass of the finest bourbon...on ice, OC...a vintage Jack Daniels 'Sinatra'...named for the one and only Frank Sinatra, duh...news to moi...ah ha...so, looked for it online...the price varied...anywhere from $139-$169...down here, we have this gem of a liquor store...called 'BevMo'...that had it on sale for $99!...and, the Horse had another $10 coupon in hand...the rest of the story is...I own a bottle of Sinatra now...at $89...savvy shopper...

The guys collegiate hoops are about to enter their conference T's...this year, more than any that I can think of, is just WIDE OPEN...so much talk about the talent in the Big Ten (14)...of course, take North Carolina, Duke, and Kentucky, and you may be in the mix at the end...fuggit about the Pac 12 and the Mountain...very below average teams...as you ponder your Big Dance tourney pool...

The Trump Tweety for the day?...he lambasted one of his very own...a pattern?...ha ha...this time it is his old girl friend...Ann Coulter...called her a name...many would fit...but, he went through his Trump Thesaurus...man, I have to find a name for that...and tried to label her so...such a sweet Prez...all the while, he continues to sign the Bible...what?...'please, leave this in the room'...Donald Trump...

?...one of the major pixel stations carried a bizarre story last eve...about an American gal in South Korea...who was killed there...all fingers pointed to a fellow worker, that was American...as the 'alleged accused' bolted from Korea...and thus, couldn't be prosecuted for the murder...what?...really?...as the accused one, is a professor in the state of Washington, now...actually agreed to be interviewed on camera...weird...

The LaLa Lakers lost again...ha ha ha...and the Clip Joint beat the Thunder, just one nite after OKC took it to PDX...hmmm, think the Clipper team is for real?...hey, Coach Doc Rivers, should be in the conversation for 'Coach of the Year'...that is, if one really coaches in the NBA...yes, the Blazers beat the hapless Suns...

An Ethiopian Airlines crashed...all 137 aboard...died...a Boeing 737...wonder the reason....they just don't fall from the sky...

Just an observation...but, this town is smitten with 'marathon races'...something like that...running for long distances...some run, some walk...and often, they are right below our condo...'you're all winners!'...just looks like it would eventually tear up the body...just saying...
