Rainy Day Women #12 & 35

'They'll STONE ya'...part of the lyrics to an odd song written and sung by Bob Dylan...I bring it up, due to the rainy days we are immersed in here in San Diego...and even worse wet stuff north of us, all the way up to Santa Barbara...Rainy Day Women #12 & 35...that has meanings that are beyond moi...which is not unusual for many that he penned...truly, an example of a stylist, rather than a pure singer...'EVERYONE must get stoned'...this was released in '66...controversial at the time, and it kind of escaped the media prohibition...and did get aired...

The futures were WAY UP this am...so expect a BIG jump in the market today...well, that is my own little creative method of judging what will go on in the stocks...

The QB and winner of the Heisman Trophy ( we ARE in the award season), Kyler Murray, of Oklahoma...and the pro baseball guy in the Oakland A's system...has to make up his mind...to continue to play football, and enter the NFL draft...or get embroiled in the baseball world...he had asked Oakland to up their ante to $15 million to stay with them...apparently, a no go, and he is entering the draft...where he will get money like that, and probably be in the lineup in a year or two...in the bigs...where in baseball, it takes longer to get on that level...usually...have to hit the curve ball...

I've tried it and IT is really hard to do...establish characters...a plot...and make you stay with it for 300 or so pages...writing a book...make sure that you do not divulge what is happening next...well, someone who can master this, is John Grisham...and his latest, that I did just buy, is JUST LIKE THAT!...'The Reckoning'...something that one can do, on these rainy days...read...exactly what YOU are doing right now...but not a novel...BTW, get it and you can thank me later...

Tickled to see all the well wishes for the little lady, yesterday, on her birthday...calls, emails, cards, and the like...we, that is, with them rascals, the Mackles, went out to din din to celebrate...I called it 'Old People Partying'...to a Japanese restaurant in Little Italy...sounds weird, huh...fun time, and she enjoyed every minute...coo...

You DO know that I read my 13 sources prior to writing everyday...however, one of the ploys that some of the sites do to make scratch, is charge you to read them.....after a 'free' session of 7 or so articles...then they want us to 'buy' the right to the articles thereafter...this is in lieu of the newspaper, I reckon'...so, my favorites are the national ones...I will not pay for the online Statesman Journal...nope...

Hoops...Duke is usually in the discussion for the top spot in the land...guys...in the collegiate world, it is a bevy of freshmen that dominate the sport...and, they are in college for one year, and then can be drafted into the NBA...anyhoo, the Blue Devils are number 1 again...well, they were...as Syracuse knocked 'em off...hmmm, the Duke PG went down...and that was the reason...sure seems that they play a tough schedule...very few patty cakes...

Hoops....gals...er, ladies...Connecticut has the same reputation as Duke does...deservedly...I have noted, that both the Ducks and Beavs are on this elite level...now...way cool...I try to catch them on the pixels whenever they are on...it's a fun brand of basketball...ah, they actually PASS the rock...

What?...da Chicago Cubs just made this hire...Craig Breslow...as their director of strategic initiatives for baseball operations...what on earth might that be?...initiatives?...

Senator Rand Paul (Ktky) is a huge opponent to socialized medicine for this country...has elected to go to Canada, where that exists...to have surgery...sounds worse than the headlines would make you believe...it's a hernia...and the hospital that reportedly does it best, is in Ontario...and he is paying out of his own pocket...calm down, kids...

Trump is hosting a lunch today for some Congressionals, to further his exploits of funding for his monikered wall...must have been left over burgers from the spread he laid out for Clemson...which he released that he, too, PAID for them from his own pocket...

Not to be outdone, the Horse paid for the flowers for the little lady's birthday...out of my own pocket...well, it was from HER credit card...whatever...
