Pickin' Time

Happy New Year, kids!...almost made it to mid nite...11 was the time that I last remember...of course, the happenings in NYC, was purnt near enough for us...thankful we weren't there in that bloody rain and cold...just looked awful...as the hosts get hammered on live TV...kind of funny and odd at the same time...

My blog has as it's background, a collage of people who may by the Demo candidate for Prez in 2020...there is a lot of hope on this page, kids...do what I am trying to do, keep the faith...that the country can rise above what is occurring right now...YES, it will be better and 1 of these pictured will be leading us...maybe someone else, could emerge, too...where's the Hilz, you may be asking?...

I have been tearing thru me brain to come up with the Horse's Best of '18...from books written by those who either got fired, or, ran from the White House...sports teams and players who dominated...to singers who have been hot...leaders of OTHER nations...tech stuff...the list is wide...but, I came up with 1 thing ONLY...and it was being tested, too...by Trump...it is number 1 and there is impetus to keep it alive...FREEDOM OF SPEECH...when he tried to silence CNN's Jim Acosta, the World stood still...just what is happening in the USA?...

For you who have Twitter...the app...and Donny sends out his innocuous Tweets...daily...pop on it and you will see the comment by the masses about what he says...50 to 1, ripping him apart...my guess, he doesn't know how to check this out...or, like the inner circle has been saying, he can't read...yes, he is bunkered down...and there is good reason for that...

Rejoice!...the demos retake the House on this Thursday...the number 1 thing they have on their minds?...restart the government's shut down...then....go after Trump...it shall be a thing of beauty...I figure the long awaited Mueller Report will come out...well, at least go thru the AG's office on it's way to the courts...Trumpgate?...there will be names that come out better than that...

I talk loads about what I listen to while I write in the am...today is an awesome CD by Keith Whitley...his essential...yes, it is twangy, but, the words are so well put together...the melodies and lyrics are a perfect marriage...just try it...you will be a convert...

The Ducks WON!...7-6...what?...a football score?...you could have called it the 'Drop Bowl', as the UO receivers kept dropping passes...couple that with awful field position...well, the D stepped up...limited MSU to two FG's...now, we need some wideouts...as most of the players return for the next season...the glaring weakness is (are) the dudes on the outside...yes, kids, there is promise on the horizon...

One more thing...SDSU was in a free fall at the end of the season...QB play was an issue...and the local journalist...who thinks he has input to HC Rocky...is trying to convince him to switch his O to the triple option...oh my...this is NOT the 60's dude...

Of course, the caliente item on the docket is the Stock Market...the volatility is absurd...the month of December past was devastating...as we all are pondering, what is the direction?...I always look at the futures and brace myself...if they are good, I think I am in a better mood for the day...really...

Talk about absurdity...the law in Cali just released a beauty...that if you are over 18, you can ride these motorized scooters WITHOUT a helmet...not sure if they are in your town, but, they are a nuisance and a near death experience for many...just listen to the emergency doctors at the hospitals...

I can't make this stuff up...another Donny Tweet...'Happy New Year to my haters'...what the heck, who does he think he is?...talking like LiLo now...hey, maybe he figured out how to open up his comments section on his Tweets...

The day is filled with more of these college bowl games...none that have to do anything with a champ...just cuz...2 are of mention...the Rose Bowl, as THE Ohio State Buckeyes have their HC Urban Meyer coaching his last game versus the Dawgs...and, the team that should have been in the Final 4, and isn't...the Georgia Bulldogs...will pulverize Texas...bet on it...

So...Netflix just released a newbie...the Taylor Swift Concert...bet it was played a record time yesterday...we watched it...she is 1 talented lady...kids...yes, if you have the service...it's worth the time...
