1974

This was weird, and yet, mind blowing...oops, back in the year 1974!...was listening on me Beats to a CD of the super group of the time...Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young...'CSNY 1974'...this morning...and out of the blue, the screen switched to a concert of the boys...as they were playing in that year...OMG, these were unbelievably talented dudes...could play guitar as well as the piano...and sang their songs...if you want a trip, ha ha, back into time...find this and buy it...

Which triggered my brain into that year, Nineteen Hundred and Seventy Four...comparative costs to now?...hardly...the cost of a gallon of petrol was 43 cents...the median house cost was $34,900...the annual salary was $13,900...imagine that one could buy a Chevy for $4,000...I remember that I thought, that if I could afford a Ten Thousand Dollar car, I would have it MADE ...and this was the time that the country was glued to the TV screen...

As, during this year, the President of the United States was impeached...Richard M Nixon...falling to the leakage of the news of the break in of the Democrat's office in the Watergate Hotel...that he, lied about...that he was involved...Congress subpoenaed many of his cabinet, and interrogated them on LIVE TV...and the whole thing unraveled...it was then dubbed 'Watergate'...ah, yes, triggered by a couple of young newsmen of the Washington Post...who did much of the investigative leg work...Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward...

'All The President's Men' was soon made after...a flick that dramatized the happening...however, the real thang totally unfurled in 1974...as Nixon resigned from office that same year...and took to flight to escape any further condemnation...BTW, he never did admit to the offense...

Yea, so here we go again...abuse of power...that is surrounding us on a day to day basis...as another President is embroiled in a possible 'cover up' scandal...I dunno, maybe that's the wrong term...situation (s), might be more appropriate...as the walls of the protection are crumbling about him...

In the next month, we are to see Congress do what was done in that year...so long ago...1974...subpoena cabinet members...and others, like his personal lawyer...and under oath, speak to Congress...via, LIVE pixels, to the entire world...tell us all, what is the TRUTH...I figure that some of his faithful blokes, will plead the fifth...which will further implicate the BOSS...ah, what else would you call him?...

The NFL...totally surprised  by the total domination by the Chiefs...and the lackluster play by the Colts...egads, the way below par performance by QB (un) Luck (y)...his throws were lacking zip...however, KC looked and played REAL sharp...and in the nite cap, the Rams whupped the Cowboys...line play...tickled me...it's a good thing...

Today, the Chargers try their River Boat thang in New England...where, Philip has never won...again?...and the Eagles take on the Saints in Norleans...you want the Horse picks?...just in case you do...the Pats scream...and Philly in a donnybrook...but, shoot, I know nuttin'...

I declare this Sunday, as Tweet free...well, at least from me talking about what innocuous, laborious, demeaning, and just STOP! the insanity...

And, this was the year, 1974, that we got hitched...egads, like 45 years ago...what?...
