The Final 4

Yesiree, Bob, I watched a lot of football yesterday...helped me formulate my FINAL FOUR teams for the D-1 Championship...of course, this will ruffle the feathers of some, but deal with it...it's just one guys opinion...and WILL NOT be the consensus of the committee, who names the real participants...

Alabama/Georgia...an inexcusable play call by the Bulldogs with 2 minutes to go in the game...tied at 28...their drive stalled...4th and 9, at midfield...got it?...they ran a fake punt!...with the Tide set up in a normal D pattern, and NOT in a punt return one...why they didn't call a time out and squash the play, is THE REASON, they got beat...took 'Bama less than a minute to take it in from there, and get the winning score...

Oklahoma played enough D to beat a very decent Texas team...I felt that the Sooners, were just so so in the match...Ohio St in a laugher over Northwestern...UCF, minus their hurt star QB, came back from no where to beat Memphis...in a very entertaining game...Clemson dominated Pitt, and dug their heels into the playoff picture...

OK, here I go...my reasoning is like this...who has a chance at beating Alabama?...Georgia, certainly does...probably should have...but coaching?...Notre Dame?...no chance in the world for them to beat 'em...Clemson?...of course, the team that has the best chance of it...Ohio St, a 250-1 NO...UCF?...nope, and that leaves us with Oklahoma...they might be able to outscore them...terrific QB...alas, here is MY Final 4...
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Georgia
4. Oklahoma

The annual Xmas Marsha Work Party was last nite...it was an elaborate one and really fantastic...terrific food and these people have a good time...listen, they have been the same group for the last 6 or 7 years Marsh has been with them...which says a lot...

So, if a player gets ejected in the final game of the season, for a spear (helmet to helmet hit), he is banned for the first half of his next game, too...which means, the next year...what if he graduates, or goes to the pros?...

If Trump carries the flag for the Evangelists, does he still go to a church?...enquiring minds want to know...

And now...the naming of the multitude of teams going to bowl games...to be qualified, the team must win at least 6 games...sort of...just so happens that the Mountain West has a bunch that fit the bill...but will NOT get picked...and, like in the years past, a college with only 5 wins, that are from one of the Power 5 conferences, gets asked...way too often, it is a scam...

The mighty Ducks of Oregon are rumored to be coming to the Dec 31st Holiday Bowl here in San Diego...maybe to play the aforementioned Northwestern...purely conjecture until later on today...I think...stay tuned...

The Horse needs food...
