Shut Down!

To what extreme would Trump go to get his WALL built?...well, you know the answer...he would threaten to SHUT DOWN the government...in his delirious mind, the thought of that would suffice in convincing the doubting Democrats...and, those in his (?) own party...to change their collective votes, to get HIS WALL...with the money situation that the country is in (thank you Donny) it seems absurd that we would even be talking about more expenditures like this antiquated idea...

 So what was the response?...nope, not now, not in a week, and not in the next 2 years, even if he stays in office...he turned the self preserving idea, into a massive break in the everyday lives of the Federal Gov't...yup, unless there is a late breaking deal achieved...of course, not by him...but, by the House and the Senate...we will be involved in a SHUT DOWN...totally due to him...Trump...make you ill?...

Here is an item that has been floated out...he was unhappy that the Fed leader, Jerome Powell, raised the interest rate...listen kids, he was hired by Trump, and has been in office for not even a year...throwing even more chaos into what many Republican followers have been hanging their MAGA caps on...the bullish Stock Market...alas, with his instability (I reckon), it has altered what he had going for himself...and the dive is the biggest in the past 10 years...thank you Donny...anyhoo, he is threatening to fire Powell...you just KNEW that was going to happen, now didn't you...

800,000 is the number...that are on hold...out of jobs, or working for free...because of this guy's stubbornness...imagine that...has he a conscious?...no earth shattering Tweets as I write from the bloke...yet...he probably will get out of town...fly down to Mira Lago...to play some golf...put his mind at ease...really, Jimmy crack corn...might be better for us all, that he is out of the White House...ah ha, sounds like a great plan...out of there FOR GOOD!...

So here at the home, we had a cool party...every 30 minutes ventured into a different hosted unit...so interesting to see how people dude up theirs...so festive...and it was fun...the unwritten rule was no talk about politics (Donny) or the impending building assess(my ass) ment vote...occasionally, it would be brought up, lawdy, there are some who blindly follow him, regardless...well, one bloke does...

One thing is clear...we have been downplaying the festive lights of Xmas in our unit...so...we are going to late break it....do some window cleaning and put up some more lights...hey, as I have been writing this am...the blog title for today, Shut Down, made me think of them Beach Boys...and their Christmas Album...it's far out...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
