Let's Finish it Off Better

Morning, kids...how was your Christmas?...ours was wonderful...yes, the anticipation of the grandson is beyond compare...diminishes anything else...however, one of the things we did while they were here, is to go to the new movie complex in the Gaslamp...called 'The Theater Box'...which features many different options from the old movie house...

Probably the first thing that catches one's eyes, is that you pay for and reserve your very own seat...like you would do at a concert...or game...then, your seat...is a recliner...with 1st class amenities...with service included...order from your seat...food and drinks, as well as the norm, popcorn and soft drinks...if you are still an old fuddy duddy, you can still buy them at the counter...

The screen is larger and the number of seats is smaller...and the prices for them are seemingly cheaper...I dunno, like $10 each...so, it is smart that you reserve yours (via your smart phone), early, as they go quickly...we were trying to see the flick about VP Cheney, but, it was all SOLD OUT...so, we opted for the JLo one...'Second Act'...it was cute...well, she is...and the script was so so...but, the overall experience was way cool...couple with that, that we can walk to it...sublime...we will do it again and often, I reckon....

The other venture was to the world famous San Diego Zoo...you, who live around here, if you aren't going there...you are missing out...it truly is a marvel...amazing to see all the animals that we probably don't know much about...make sure you take the bus ride in the park...it gives ya'll an idea where you want to go...and, oh, by the way, it is a HUGE expanse...wear tennies...not the place for flip flops...

Well, I was asked what was my one wish or desire for Xmas?...dang, when I awakened it didn't come true...Donny is still in the White House...can I get one for the New Year's?...same request...

A day for hoops watching...which included a replay of my son's playoff game when he was a Jr in high school...a controversial loss...thanks, Shink...the rest of the hoops time was at the NBA...listen, as a former player and coach of the sport, the game to me is now dreadful...lack of motion and passing...questionable defense...way too many 3 balls...just has ruined the beauty of team play...

Still...some thoughts...the Beard has the game as it is now, down pat...just awful, but effective...the LaLa Lakers are better...the Warriors are in a deep shooting funk...3 of their 4 all stars are in a huge slump...get them now, NBA...they are ripe...and, the Blazers are falling back to their old nemesis...lack of D....

It's opening day out at Santa Anita...and am trying to get through what we need to do, before I can get over to Strider's to wager some....sheesh...just stuff...hey, the first day is usually a nice pay day, if you can hit...unfortunately, I will be late for my betting forte, the Pick 5...dang...

Let's open up the Trump world and see what the bloke is up to...the 2nd migrant child has died in his policy reform...he needith his wall...I read this, then reread it...the month of this December, 2018, is the WORST for the Stock Market since, gulp, 1931!!!!...he is blaming that on the dude he hired for the Fed Position...always someone else's fault...

Not sure of your 401 K...but, the KFam has had no problem...you see their Xmas Party highlights?...created a winter wonderland, by blowing in snow and having their very own ski slope...er, sledding slope...in LaLa...ah, must be nice to have disposable cash....

This is the day, that the businesses are offering sales of the items that they have in stock...one can find real deals....what have you heard or read about?...the day after...

Let's finish this year off better...I'm talking to Trump and well, to us all...but, mostly, to that bloke...
