Thinking about the state of the Union...er, Republic...I awakened to the thought of, 'what if John Lennon were still alive today'...his haunting 'Imagine', one of the best protest songs of all time...just what would he be singing now?...odd, that the others in music are not going there, too...like CSNY, especially Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, maybe Natalie Maines...the list really is long...but, nobody is sanging protest songs...maybe, cuz it's but one bloke that is causing the commotion...I dunno...

Michael Cohen has a few months before his incarceration...and he has NO allegiance to Trump, anymore...witness his interview with George S on Good Morning America this am...I read the transcript before we get it on the west coast...he directly points the finger at Donny...the order to pay hush money to his lady friends...as they may affect the election...sure, but...how does this play out to the Republican Senators?...the ruling party...

Aw pooh pooh...more crap about the new Trump COS...some inklings that it may be he who is probably doing the 'job' in the interim...anyhoo...Ivanka's husband, Jared Kirshner...there are other names mentioned, ie, who I think, Chris Christie...Jose Canseco, offered his services...referring to the fact that Donny has gained a lot of weight (It's a marshmallow world in the White House), and he would get him back into shape...however, it may be a short term job anyway...ha ha...especially if it is Jared...

'Imagine' the home life of the Conways...as she, Kelly Anne, defends her man, er, Trump, to the nth degree...and her real hubby, George, feels 180* differently...as he calls Trump 'a liar'....yes, this is from the DC world of thangs...aw shoot, Donny, make her the COS...BTW, and I have asked this before...but who on earth, came up with the spelling of 'George?'...

You must get the Amy Grant Tennessee Christmas CD...she has the most soothing voice...and it does get you in the Xmas mood, even if you are not...oh yea, and it has her version of 'Baby It's Cold Outside', a duet with her hubby, Vince Gill...I like every track...and that, in itself, is a coup...

How about the comeback victory of the Los Angeles (grrr) Chargers last nite in Kansas City!!!...down 14 in the 2nd half, scored the almost tying TD with but 4 seconds to go in the game...then, rather than kick the Xtra point to send it to OT...went for 2 and the win...a WR snuck free, on a busted D play...completed pass and the WIN!...listen, the Bolts are for real...and they could, win it all...much to the dismay of the San Diegans, who had this team ripped from their hands...nature of the biz, for the very rich owners of the NFL...pawns...

More LaLa stuff...the Lake Show in Texas...playing the Beard in Houston...as you know, I am not a fan of the Lakers...but the officiation was and IS odious protecting the Rocket's Beard...Hardin...he who plays in slow motion...dribbles around for 10 seconds, then uses a screen and chucks up a 3 ball...and if the defender is within breathing distance, gets a foul called on him....the stripes have to be embarrassed if they look at replays...right?...or, is it a mandate of the league?...he can shoot the rock, but c'mon...but it is BAD basketball...

To finish up for the day...we decided to hit the beach yesterday for lunch...at JRDN...much to our surprise, it was gorgeous...78*!!!...really...sat outside, and many patrons, couldn't handle the heat...ha ha...seeked out the umbrellas...great food...and such an enjoyable time...hey, this is what I woke up to this am....wowser, huh....
