A Downton Xmas Present

You read that right...one of our fav series of ALL time, Downton Abbey...closed shop a year or so ago...man, I threatened to watch it from the beginning...it's on my list...anyway, they tickled us again...they made a movie follow up...YES!...the trailer is out and the flick will be soon...so, you who are like us, Downtonites, will get their fill...very soon...it's a good thing...

For all of the hullabaloo of who the new Trump COS was to be...a name came up that surprised me...Mick Mulvaney...in the past, a critic of Donny, but shoot, who hasn't been, or isn't now...let's just say, from the bottom of my heart...good luck to him...has to be absolute HELL working for the bloke...shut up and cash the check...

We spent like 3 hours watching a new Netflix thang...'Innocent Man'...something like that...a documentary out of Ada, Oklahoma...two gals were killed within 2 years of another there in that tiny town...solved, then unsolved...alleged killers, put in prison, for one of the deaths...modern forensics cleared the guys, DNA...anyway, one of my top book writers, John Grisham, wrote about it...had to be fictional, cuz I don't recall the way this is going...check it out...we watched thru 4 sessions...

So, what do you want for Christmas?...a new car?...new house or condo?...a Rolex?...maybe some vanity thing, like some botox?...hey, how about a new arse, just like them Kardashians?...hair plugs?...OK, back down to earth, some socks?...undies?...how about...

An ugly Xmas sweater?...sure, there are plenty of them out there now...used to be...you'd have to go to the Goodwill Store and find one treasured there...not now, nope...most stores sell them all decked out in obnoxious forms...go ahead and have a party, with the theme being just that...hey...

In the past month, the bourbon people have had a taste test of the best of the best...well now, it's not fair that Pappy would be in it...so disregard, the clear winner...a panel chose some that were unknown to moi...the winner?...Barrell Whiskey...so, the Horse has been on a hunt to find a bottle of it...shhh, regardless of the cost...found it, under lock and key at the Mission Valley BevMo...purchased the prize and put it on display...told me PNW buddy, Snooki, about the find...wouldn't you know it, he found a bottle in Orygun!...so, last night, 600 miles apart, we popped open the stuff...and tasted and compared...he drank it neat, mine was on ice...well, it is no Pappy, but then again, I'm not sure what that tasted like...now...but this stuff, was MAHVELOUS!...you too, can join us...get yourself a gift of it...and yup, you can be a Barrell Brother...er, or Sister...swirl it and sip...

You know I have been giving you some choices for Christmas music...here's one that is under the radar...Steve Tyrell...a very distinctive voice...you may wonder, who the heck is he and how did you find him?...remember the flick 'Father of the Bride'...yes, his stuff is part of that movie and soundtrack...trust the Horse...

Are you in a pick 'em college football bowl pool?...39 of them to pick...here's the deal...some of the elite players, will opt out of the games...not to get hurt, thus, ruin their draft status for the next pro season...makes picking the games way hard...flip a coin...ask your dawg...pick the color that you want...or all the schools that end in a...whatever, it's like the lottery...except, some ONE will win...

38 years ago...we had the very best thing that ever happened in our life...the birth of our son, Cristopher...we wish him the merriest of all birthdays today...pictured here with my mother, notice his cowboy hat...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
