The Secret Service

While we were searching NETFLIX for a movie to watch last eve...we happened on a flick called 'Fair Game'...nice cast and all...Naomi Watts and Sean Penn, the majors...had no idea what it was about...a 2010 year one...it is set in the time that our government was looking for a scapegoat for 9/11...you know it, er, remember those times...'Weapons of Mass Destruction'...settled on Iraq's Saddam Hussein and his regime...such was the decry by Prez W and his right hand man, VP Dick Cheney...yup, and off we went to war...and yup, we are still in Iraq...I digress...

This is THE story of the W administration silencing any of the critics out there...in this case, Scooter Libby...Sean Penn's character is US Diplomat, Joseph Wilson...who wrote a scathing article about the incorrect info that was given to us, the public...that the sale of enriched uranium to Iraq, was a fabrication...just so happens, his wife was a CIA agent...Valerie Plame...played by Naomi Watts...

Here is where the dirty part came out by the then White House...they outed Ms Plame as a CIA agent...this was orchestrated by Libby...eventually, the wrong was righted...he was indicted, sent to prison and she was washed up...so...Prez W got Libby out of the sentence...

Lost in the story was this guy, Scooter Libby...who was considered an advisor to VP Cheney...Dick Cheney...in fact, he was the the Chief of Staff...and his directive was to quell the statements of Joseph Wilson...in any way, possible...yes, he was caught...yes, he was sentenced to prison...yes, W got him off...and to make it an absolute crime...Trump has got into the act...seriously, he 'pardoned' Scooter Libby....I can't make this stuff up...does something smell to you?...

Made me wonder...how does one get to be a CIA agent?...it's like when you get in, you no longer are known for what you were...?...I mean, the member, is no longer going to say anything remotely truthful, right?...the site says, that you have to be at least 18, have a collegiate degree, and blah blah blah...in reality, the colleges are scoured by the employers...get the youngest and brightest new people...makes sense...

How many agents are there now?...ah ha, that is classified info...however, it is said that after 9/11 there was a gaggle of young people wanting to join...that is what you call it, right?...talk about a topic that is almost NEVER referred to...'trust us'...

OK, let's get back to sports...

Texas A&M and LSU went to SEVEN OT'S to get a winner...I turned in after the 3rd...football, kids...not sure, but after 2, there should be a TIE allotted...nobody deserves a loss...

THE Ohio St continues it's dominance over Michigan...just like the Dawgs over the Cougs...will the win, allow the Buckeyes to leapfrog the likes of Oklahoma and Georgia for the final spot in the playoffs?...controversy lurks...

SDSU lost, too, in OT to Hawaii...the Rainbows thoroughly outplayed the Aztecs...SD went for broke after scoring the tying TD...in lieu of kicking an Xtra point, went for two...unsuccessfully...listen, this team is not a bowl worthy one...

Utah came from way back and beat BYU...who no longer are to be called Mormons...right...Latter day Saints, I guess...anyhoo...the place was a rocking, and if you went by the pixel screen, it REALLY was...

Yes, it should be in the Final 4...'Bama, Clemson, Notre Dame, and ______...I dunno...
