Santa Ana's

The change of the wind pattern, called the Santa Ana Winds, down here in SoCal, can be lethal...as the warmth, triggers the danger of FIRES!...just opposite of the ocean breeze, that one would expect...already just north of LA, there is one in motion...seems to me, that most that start up, the fires, are probably set...cuz, we just don't have the violent storms that are in other places...really, really sad...

I haven't talked much sports in the past few days, due to the midterm elections...so, today is that day...I will give the debacle in DC a rest...a respite, if you will...well, I will....

Loads of innuendos about the change in direction of the SD Padres...again...doesn't this get a bit old?...does to me...as the GM Preller (not MY fav) has hinted at adding a veteran arm in the starting rotation...duh...with all the hullabaloo of the 'prospects' in the farm system, there is NOT a gaggle of pitchers, MLB worthy...here we go again...oh yea, and this...they (he) have (has) let it out in the Trib, that they are going to trade one of the outfielders, and, or 3b, dudes...ah ha, the underlying message is that they are trying to shop one of the high paying guys in the fold...Wil Myers...not so subtle...

NBA...the Horse (3rd person talk) has made mention, often, that the best in the game is the GS Warriors...that their achilles heal, is the aggressive D that some teams throw at them...no better example, than last night's game versus the Milwaukee Bucks...who pushed the GS blokes around and outran 'em...granted that D Green was out, but...up in the PNW, a completely ODD lineup in the bulk of the 2nd half for PDX...and somehow it worked...as the Blazers keep getting better...and won the fray against the Clip Joint...man, that is a looooong season they play...

The Ducks travel to Utah this weekend...and are 4 point dogs...what I have noticed, is that this team doesn't travel well...in other words, they don't play up to snuff on the road...coaching?...I dunno...I think the staff is growing, just like the squad...yes, I keep saying that...redundant...SDSU is hosting the Rebels of UNLV...watch out, kids...the Aztecs are getting their hurt guys back...THEY are going to have a super November...really...

The NFL...so many worries about the plight of the Steelers...hmmm, at least in Pittsburgh...well, didn't look that bad in a shellacking of Carolina last eve...to make matters worse, 2 of my FF opponent's (Dr Cris) players were in his lineup and scored a million...I am beat already...this outta the stats for viewers...even though the mighty Chargers, of now LaLa, are winning and playing dang good...NOBODY is watching 'em...ah hem, their biggest audience is from down here in San Diego!...the town they jilted...go figure...

You know I can't leave the political field alone...Sarah Huckabee Sanders...yes, HIS press secretary...posted a view that showed the confrontation with Trump and Jim Acosta, of CNN at THE press conference...where SHS posted a doctored one, that had Acosta accosting the WH aide...who was trying to get the microphone out of his hands...can't make this stuff up...

Why does Trump not release his tax returns?...ah yea, what does he have to hide?...ha ha...listen kids, he will block anything that he can...including anything that comes from the Mueller Probe...does this not remind you of Watergate?...man, I have to watch 'All The President's Men' again...been awhile...

Where do you do your grocery shopping?...most likely, the closest spot to your home...we shop around (Smokey Robinson and the Miracles) at a number....went to Trader Joe's yesterday...and got a turkey breast...which we cooked...an early TGiving meal...marvelous...give it a try...man, that was random, huh...

50 years ago...the Beatles could do no wrong...released their infamous 'White Album'...no pic, no nuttin...made no diff...a 2 disc vinyl set...and as usual, I could hardly wait to get it, spin it...and marvel at what they would sang...it was ground breaking...not sure of my fav track...anyway, on the way home I was listening to XM's the 50's...and there was this song, 'Dizzy Miss Lizzy'...by Larry Williams...I had no idea that the Beatles covered this song...too...I thought it was theirs...notice what was on their 45 with it...a so so song, called...ah hem...YESTERDAY!!!!!...
