Not as Planned

Top of the morning, to ya'll...the skies are clear way down here in San Diego...as we brace for yet another day of incorrigible moments from the other coast...in the White House...normally, during the month of November, I am talking smack about the pro sports teams...and the mysterious rankings in collegiate football...but not now...not in these flummox hours of the present Regime...

Yes, Trump succumbed to Melania's wants and desires...to rid herself and the Country of the present, ah, now past, Deputy National Security Advisor, Mira Ricardel...pack your bags...hmmm, seems that she is to be reassigned somewhere...lawdy, I heard this comment from one of his trusted spokespeople...that he actually hates 'firing people'...give me a break, and save your breath, dude...

From the innards of the 'family'...what else would you call it?...that he is hopping mad, at most everyone...frustrated with the voting results of the midterms...duh...irritated at his wife for releasing a comment before running it by him...see above...and yesterday's blog...he is trying to stay away from being questioned by the press...then, this morning, let this beauty out, 'the inner workings of the Mueller Probe are a total mess...'...continuing on, 'they have found no collusion and are going nuts'...well, someone is...one more...'the Floridian voters were wearing disguises'....I can't make this stuff up....

Captain Bligh...is there some resemblance?...hey, in the gaggle of books about this 'family', there are inferences that show that many of the 'trusted' aides, are staying on...just in case...Kelly, Mad Dog, shoot the list goes on...Pence?...I dunno....weirder things have happened...just not in the White House...

Other...

Did you see the Country Music Awards?...Brad and Carrie were great....as per usual...they seem so natural and easy flowing as the hosts...Chris Stapleton continues to dominate the award winning...just can't imagine that Blake Shelton doesn't even get nominated...this, too...there are some legendary acts and people still in the biz, that should be SINGING...Martina, Sara, Little Big Town, George Strait, Alabama, Alan Jackson, more and more...the award for the gal went to Carrie (yes!) and the entertainer of the year was Keith Urban...coo...

My favorite part of the nite, was when Ricky Skaggs was honored for lifetime achievement...he played with 3 different bands...he was simply AMAZING!...reminded me of when you go to the Grand Ol Opry and see so many of the talented, yet, not so famous musicians...do their thang...

The LaLa Lakers beat PDX in the southland...LeBron took over the game in the 2nd half and it was a 7 point lead most of it...my fears of them making the playoffs are probable...egads...

We took a jaunt over to Costco...to get some necessities and get the FLU SHOT...you done this yet?...our insurances paid for it...the cost was $19 without...little did I know that they were to give me the 65 year old dose...turns out to be the double dose...what?...seems backwards...

It does take some scratch, well, a lot of scratch, to live in some of the cities here in Cali...the last report has that it takes at least a million bucks for most ANY home in the San Francisco area...good lawdy...

My early report on the iWatch 4...it is truly awesome...I did not get the one, that you can talk into...just no need for that...still get me messages and texts...the face is great and there you go...

Is it whiskey or whisky?...

The play, 'The Sound of Music', is coming to the Globe Theater...my fav...and we must capture some tix...I know, you think I am a crotchety old so and so...I do have a tender side...alas, this may be a false hope...no where to be found...

Time to turn on the pixels and see what has changed, already...

Finally this, we watched the flick, 'Grease', again...man, it is a classic...my fav?...Rizzo...you probably will draw your own conclusions...as to why...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
