Happy Thanksgiving

Morning, kids...a Happy Thanksgiving to ya'll...hope your day is filled with joy and you're with who you want to be...with...hmmm, it's about time to pop your turkey in the oven...well, at least on the West Coast...you Easterners are already in motion...we, having survived the flu ( or whatever), thus will be doing the 'dinner' solo...no reason to infect others, right?...

So, I sauntered out to the Point Loma Trader Joe's...who was READY for the onslaught of late TGiving shoppers, just like me...everything you could possibly want for YOUR meal, is there...and featured....gads of turkey breasts...ah yes, I was 'sweating' pretty good...first time out, you know...got all the fixings...and am ready...BTW, going thru that area, I noticed such cool older homes...maybe, that's our next destination for a place to move...

I got a note, that after a very soulful beginning to my blog yesterday, I turned drastically to an ornery political rant...true observation, dude...so, I make this promise to you for TODAY...nothing political...OK then, Donny, don't say anything stupid this morning...keep me calm...

The NBA played a gaggle of games yesterday....was everyone playing?...maybe so...odd results, as the Celtics, Blazers, and Warriors all lost...badly...insomuch, as the star of Boston...Kyrie 'the earth is flat' Irving, announced profoundly '(screw) Thanksgiving'...well, using the F word...yes, he did attend Duke for 1 year...something didn't sink in, I reckon...

Speaking of Duke and their lofty ranking for this season...they met their match in Maui...Gonzaga took 'em down...listen, kids this is the best Bulldog team I have ever seen...true dat...their 2 bigs are for real...

Have you ever had a sweet potato pie?...or made one?...I'm not much of a baker, but would really like to take on the challenge of it...saw a production on the pixels the other day...the crust thinger is my extreme downfall...

Last nite...as I was gandering out the window at the other buildings...I saw my first (someone else's) Christmas Tree...lit up...way cool...maybe Saturday for us?...depends on how we feel...duh...

'Alexa, turn on Pandora in the living room, play Christmas music'...man, I heard the funkiest Xmas song, ever...EVER...by the Platters...I have their CD, and will give you the exact one...soon...

How about some Horse pix for today's NFL games?...you got it...call your bookie...Bears over the Lions...Cowboys rip the 'Skins...and the track meet for the finale, Saints in a donnybrook over the Falcons...hmmm, I may flip on the last one...gobble gobble...

Unbelievable...have you seen the Housewives (?) of wherever lately?...those gals don't even look, er resemble, human beings anymore...with all their stretching, additions, well, lordy, whatever they have done to themselves...turn away...

Maybe I led you astray...it may have not been the Platters...give me time...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
