Halloween

Happy Halloween kids...here we go, a lesson on what the day actually is...the roots go way back...waaaaay back...like Celtic times...actually a Gothic Festival...really called Hallows' Evening...of course, the years moved on...lots of 'em, and the new country, you know where the INDIGENOUS people were...took it on...yes, and now it is a celebration of trick and treating...parties, and people dressing up as people they are not...or want to be...or fantasize to be...I always wanted to be the Lone Ranger...thus, one year, I was...not Tonto, mind you, but Kimosabe...I digress...

Let's indeed go back in time...when you went treating...what was your favorite candy to get?...well, if you got a big candy bar, like any one of 'em...that was the best...but, now, it's all mini bars...back to the Q...Snickers, Reeses Peanut Butter Cup, 3 Musketeers, M&M's...but, certainly not any FRUIT!...or cookies...remember the Mountain Bars?...or Big Hunk...or Idaho Spud?...I digress...

I suppose it is a wonderful time to get out of the daily grind of things...to put aside any issues you have at work...or, thinking about the mess that we are in the political field...maybe a brief respite prior to the big item in November....the midterms...much bigger than Thanksgiving...hey, why isn't that day mentioned in the holidays on my iPhone calendar?...what gives?...isn't it the time that you whites treated us Indigenous to a feast and buried the hatchet, for a day?...sure, that has to be a festive day to remember...

The bills...how are you handling YOURS?...this is the date, we pay for our property taxes, too...and paid for our Maui trip...good lawdy, a lot of moolah went out...I will say this again and again...TG for paying by the web net...if you are still writing checks, look into banking this way...you will thank me once a month...

You know I have never partied at a casino for Halloween before...hmmm, I wouldn't think you could wear a mask...maybe just some face paint, but following the plight of Megyn Kelly, it will NOT be black face paint...hmmm, not red, either...white, there it is...maybe I won't at all...and go as an old guy....
