Da Playoffs

Certainly kept me eyes awake for a goodly portion of last eve...the Bums and the Brew Crew...took 13 innings to get 'er done, but the bloke, who the Dodgers just had to have, scampered home from 2nd with the winning run...SS Machado...BTW, he does have a bit of an ornery side to him, right?...for the life of me, I don't know why they pitched to Bellinger, with a base open...and the stupefied C Grandal, on deck...and he got the hit that WON it...betcha the Milwaukee papers are crucifying the manager today...you know, in that game, you really don't have that many times you can affect the play...and lawdy, you have FOREVER to make your mind up...Jimmy Crack Corn...

The NBA kicked off it's elongated 82 regular game season last night, too...the 2 favs of the season, the Celtics and the Warriors, were at it...and both won...albeit, I was not impressed with either...moreso, with Golden St...there is something missing...not sure what it is...and the Celts, both the injured lads from last year, are back...but are not the same...hmmm...tonight the LeBron led La La Lakers are in PDX...and yes, I am impressed with them...LA, that is...Portland plays goofy D...

The Ducks are right back into the thick of things in D-1 Football...traveling to Pullman to play the always tuff Cougs...who rarely run, and thus, put the ball in the air...lots...UO is now 11 or 12 in the Nation, depending on what poll you look at...WSU is 25th...and get this...the Cougs are favored...how does that play out?...regardless (did you know there is no such word irregardless?), it's another gem of a matchup and should be fun...winner takes all...nice to be in that position...I say...

Nothing ever stays the same...my tooth, cracked...so off to SB to the good Doc to get it fixed...this time I travel by train...sit back and let them drive...you know, I have been traveling a lot...lately...just a bit of a rest and then, we are heading to Palm Springs for Halloween...I do love October...

This cloak and dagger thang about the Washington Post writer's death...all seems contrived and eerily hidden from the truth...Trump has felt the need to give the 'guilty until proven innocent' crap at the people, yet again...he, who has the gumption to call one of his lady friends, 'horse face'...you know there is a beer, made in the grand old city, Salem...called 'Buttface Amber'...seems apropos to some politician...right?...OK, no connection to the death, but it does fit him...I digress....

I don't know one person that cares a bit about the match up of Tiger and Lefty...not one...another of those winner takes all...without the ordinary man able to watch the golf, live...if you are a celebrity, you can get in to walk the course with the dudes...hmmm, will the K Fam be there?....Jimmy Crack Corn...

The mid terms...ah ha...one of the hotly contested sites...in Nashville...where Marsha (Blackburn) has been riding high...a Repub...and lo and behold, as the date gets closer...so is the race...this is scary stuff for Donny...and is there going to be that Blue Wave that some have predicted?...VOTE KIDS VOTE!

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
