Sunday BACK in SD

We have returned...2 weeks in paradise, as it is rumored...Maui...gosh, it is as close to it, as one can imagine...couple with the kids, joining us...well, it was a grand time...only had one crazy weather day...the rest were beautiful, albeit muggy...well, let's go...

Did read 3 books while on the vacay...but the majority of down time was probably spent just like ya'll did...watching the spectacle in DC...the confirmation hearings of Kavanaugh...the 'she said, he said' dilemma...depending on YOUR party persuasion, you probably lean toward that side of things...right?...

My take?...which I have said all along...Kavanaugh is there because he sides with the non-indictment of the President...however, his testimony showed an awful side of him...gone was the notion of fair and impartial judgments that we all need for the Supreme Court...his temperament was undeniable...and really, disgusting...and let there be no doubt he will side with the conservatives...

Will the FBI have a free rein in their exploration of him in the next week?...there is an article out that they are to investigate the first 2 ladies and their accusations, but not the third...I dunno...can Trump stay out of it?...I dunno that, too...

Of course, the correct thing to do, is to remove the dude...put up another and start the process all over again...I have no reservations that the vote will go to the Senate...and there you go...

Other...

The Oregon Ducks are just one fumble away from being undefeated...the fiasco against Stanford...but, a decent rebounding game in Cal...I'm not sure that the coaching staff is learning, just like the players...are...so, the game with the Dawgs in a couple of weeks...that I am going to...with Snooki....should have great significance...one thing I can tell you, is the QB is a dandy...

Ryder Cup...dominance by the Europeans...for sure...well, that's where the blokes were originally from...as most, if not all, now live in the USA...you know, tax breaks...this was a no doubter...been 25 years and more...now...that the Euros have won...there...

The MLB season is coming to a close...whew...and the Padres are at the bottom...a near useless year...more of the 'wait til next season' charade...as the 'prospects' will mature and wear whatever the colors of San Diego are...still...the name of the game is PITCHING...are there enough minor leaguers that fit the bill?...well, wait 'til....

Talk about a scam...what Cali does for the yearly 'smog test' for the cars...costs us about $250 a year, after the test and registration...seems a bit HIGH, right?...

Already, yes I said already...the NBA has kicked off their pre-season games...man, do these guys play year round?...not sure how their bodies hold up...yes, they do get paid well...but...at what cost?...the owners are happy, I suppose...

It is great to be back home...and see and be with our dawg...thanks again to the Mackles, who do the near unthinkable...board her for the entire TWO WEEKS!...I thank them so much...

You are probably missing my near daily rant on Donny....but, the priceless speech he gave to the United Nations was mind blowing...where he did the dictatorial menage of 'most achievements by a US Prez' for a long time...and got a round of laughter from the delegates of the WORLD!...at HIS expense, not WITH him...really, he has no clue...yup, that's the USA present leader...oh my...

Today...the NFL continues on...and my FF team is without a victory...winless...ofer...and how the week started...my defense is -3 after their debacle on Thursday...wooah....fully expect another...loss...really, I may tank...so to get the first pick next season...ha ha...

I will leave you today with this...what on earth is this Lindsay Graham?...from his aborted run at the Presidency...with his rants on Trump at the time...to his adoring side of him now...to the ridiculous display in the K Hearing...fodder for Saturday Nite Live...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... O Yeah!

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country.... Tonight, we hear another exceptional orator...President Bill Clinton ...it's almost like taking a class in college...Speech 101...BTW, I was turrible at it...just in case you were wondering......

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter...
