Game Day!
Just an odd time for the kick off of the Ducks up in Orygun...11 am...what?...hosting the Portland St Vikings...who just got clobbered in their opener last week...thus, the outcome of this one is predictable, and get this...wasn't even on the cheat sheet for betting, that I read every morn in the Trib...these are tough games, as over confidence can be difficult to monitor in practice...
San Diego St has Sac St...expecting a crowd of 45,000+...which is good for early on for the Aztecs...who play at the Q...where the departed Bolts used to inhabit...get this, the now LA Chargers play in a stadium that holds 27,000...go figure...oh yea, back to the college game...SDSU will win, but the score will be close...
Back east, there are storms a brewing...which makes the games iffy...and, if ya'll could judge by the Friday nite game of TCU at SMU...delays and awful playing conditions...abound....rain, lightning, thunder, and very slick fields...and pigskins...favor the squads who can run the ball...
In the never ending Fed Ex T...most every player was under par, but Tiger, Lefty and DeChambeau...in round 2...the picks for the Ryder Team...I guess the pressure was off...the weather will be a factor for round 3...I believe the leader is Xander...the SDSU bloke...who is number 12 in the Ryder player standings...and wants that last spot...but, there are those who would rather have Tony Finau...makes it tuff for Coach Furyk, if X wins the T...and passes him over...
The Pads got hit hard by the Redlegs...as SD used lots of youthful arms...not this time, as the 'growth' was stunted a bit...ha ha...I will give them a pass tho, as the home plate umpire's strike zone was brutal...it was kind of eerie...as the first two close calls at first base...both were against the Padres...were overturned...something smells...I wonder if they keep stats on what umps have the most overturned calls?...you know, like BLOWN calls...you do know, there is a lot of money bet on these games...very strange...
