Game Day

The season starts anew...as the Oregon Ducks have a new head coach...and host the Bowling Green somethings...alas, we are just happy it is upon us...ridding the Eugene Campus of the one and done bloke that WAS the guy...off he went to Florida St, and his deceptive smile is now history...the here and now...the school's rich, meteoric rise to power in the last couple of decades...has brought together Duck fans far and wide...there are a boatload of 'em down here in SoCal...I can't tell you how often people tell me 'Go Ducks' as I sport my Oregon gear, on GAME DAY!...

Oh yea, the HC's name is Mario Cristobal...geez, Horse...

Not totally sure what this team has to offer...I do know that the QB is a dandy....hopefully, the O line is solid and protective...let's just say, that the Horse will be a watching...sporting the green and yellow, of a true fan...

Some other beauts are on today, also...no bigger than the Michigan/Notre Dame one...I'm not too fond of either HC, but that's just moi...but, for each school to start with a worthy opponent, is rare in this 'pad your schedule early set of games' era...and over in Ohio, the new look Bevos take on the angry Buckeyes...Vegas says stay away from this game...and one more, the Dawgs playing Auburn...

Not a profitable day at the Races...it was one of them times, that the Racing Form was useless...I was warned by the bartender...as his 'pipeline' of workers at Del Mar, said it was a long shot day...not sure how to figure them out...as I was looking and not finding a pattern...anyhoo, the Newman Party was nevertheless fun...just not monetarily advantageous...ha ha ....

Did get back to see a blow out win by the upstart Padres...as Luis Urias hit his first MLB HR, then the hot/cold Wil Myers followed with one of his own...turned out to be a 7-0 win over Buddy Black's Rockies...

SDSU lost at Stanford...saw none of it...however, Snooki, did...and he said that the RB looked great, but the corners and the QB were not so...and, gulp, the Cardinal covered the spread...oops, not supposed to mention that...wait, I can...they can't...

Yup, gotta mention a bit about Donny...two blokes in his candidacy of '16, have admitted to connections with the Russians during the race...George Papadopoulus and Sam Patten...the latter, is a campaign organizer of sorts...what he does for a living...more of him will leak out, soon...a link to Manafort, I believe...

I read most of the stuff that comes out of the present Regime's fall guys and gals...but have no interest in Omarosa's book...apparently, the American public feels the same way...as the word is 'tanking'...

Guess I'll add one more...imagine Ted Cruz (Texas) needing help from...gulp, Trump...just want you to be reminded that Donny accused Ted's dad of a participation in the JFK assassination...has this guy got no shame?...you tell me...Stan, how can you back this stiff?...

Crazy nite at the ball yard, as I think there were 4 managers tossed in MLB games...hard to do anymore...with the instant (?) video review for questionable calls...BTW, think there is a stat for most blown calls by an ump?...you know, that had to be reversed?...c'mon, blue...

I must say there were terrific and yet somber, memorials for both Senator John McCain and the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, yesterday...well deserved...sad, really...some times I think we should be celebrating people when they are living...

Finally, are you at all confused by the Pro Golf's season ending, or, never ending, series of tournaments for the Fed Ex Champ?...too long, baby...let's just get to the Ryder Cup and have some REAL fun...
