Your headline for today, just has to be the signing (imminent) of the King, er, LeBron James, to the Lake Show...banners be with the purple and gold...Magic Johnson got his man...as he promised...and who else will work their way to Los Angeles?...'build it and they will come'...

You see, they have the cap space...money, kids...that allows them to go out and put together a formidable team...to challenge the Warriors...and the Rockets...for moi?...I will see him play all the time...well, on the pixels...he is one of, if not, THE best in the game...

So...who will follow him out to the west coast?...Kawhi?...Boogie?...Dwight?...and, how will the Ball Bumbling Bizerks coexist with him?...will Luke Walton be able to 'coach' the dude?...the Cavs Lue, could not...I think we have just begun to ask the Q's and see who will be wearing the purple and gold jerseys...kind of cool, really...

The T in DC...was a one man show, and NOT Tiger...Francesco Molinari...something like that...won by EIGHT strokes...as he was in the golf zone...hit everything where he wanted to, and putted lights out...the FIRST Italian born pro, to win on the Tour since 1947...ah ha, the year I was born...do the math, and you can figure me age...I know, I don't look it OR act it...however, Tiger did play well...ended in FOURTH...and keeps getting better and better...the comeback is not easy, my fellow hackers...

The gala 'FRIED CHICKEN COOK OFF' was a huge success...witnessed
by many, well, 2 others...as the combatants, BJ Mackle and my selves...took to the stove in a rousing 2 hour long or so, battle of the  tongs...and the chicken...BJ claimed herself as the early favorite as she is a gal from the south...not so fast Ms Mackle...as I am also, from the SOUTH, well,  of Portland...her recipe was the traditional buttermilk thang...mine, had many spices...listen, the judges, the spouses, picked their own mate's in the 'blind taste test'...smart...and a TIE was announced in the closing ceremonies...anyone want some chicken?...pictured here, mine to the left, and BJ's to the right (of course)...

In the extended weekend of ours...and yours...it's the right time to take a break, and hit the highway, or skyway...cheer up, chill out, chug one or two, puff on a stogie, watch a flick, gamble a bit, see a concert, meet up with friends, and wallow in the water...ocean or pool, whatever...yup, we are doing so...Vegas baby...

Speaking of Portland, however this time of Maine...two of my fav country sangers were on the same docket...Sara Evans, and the newbie, Morgan Myles...man, that just had to be a fun time...the Myles gal will keep getting more and more notoriety...trust the Horse...

The questionable PADRES...had numerous opps to score runs and get the final game in the series with the Pirates...but DID not...our pitching failed us, too...geez, can LeBron swing a bat?...

Mexico had their election...and a bloke who ran against corruption (right?), they say from the left...Lopez Obrador, well, he has 4 names...won...and touts that 'he will BUILD a wall between them and the United States, and the US will pay for it...'

This is for you Snooki...Costco is expanding their food court menu...yes, you have more options other than that slice of pizza you always get there...however, they are both vegetarian items, so...you better stay with the slice...

This ought to be an interesting day for player movement in the NBA...just what will happen in La La Land?....
