Buy Me Some Peanuts and Cracker Jack

Yup, kids, it is now officially BASEBALL season...the immortal song of the game, 'Take Me Out To The Ballgame'...often played and sung in the middle of the 7th inning...of most, if not all MLB parks...written in 1908, gulp, by 2 dudes who had never, ever seen a beisbol game...Jack Norworth and Albert Von Tilzer...so many peops have sung it...on LP and led the crowd do so at the ballparks...

But, what is Cracker Jack?...is it still made?...for you young blokes and babes, you probably have NO IDEA what it is...of course, it had to be made prior to 1908...actually 1896...wooah...boxed up sweetness of popcorn, that is caramel and molasses coated, with some peanuts...and inside, too, was a very cool prize...yup, the Horse thought it was a mighty special day to have a box of Jack...

Da Cubs are the club that maybe had the most success with it...the song, that is...with their announcer, Harry Carey, belting out the tune, for the masses in Chicago, singing right along with him...and since his passing, they have 'celebrities' doing the same...listen, you don't have to be a real sanger, to carry the song to the patrons...indeed...

OK, let's get on over to the game, itself...as the not so dominant Padres got a W last eve...and, not for the faint of heart, as our closer, Brad Hand, nearly gave up the 4-1 lead...in the 9th...egads, he has been less than stellar in his last 6 outings...well, Wil...Myers had a fine game and led the Pads to the lead...whew...

We are so happy to get that danged June Gloom out of our system...as we welcome July with a wide grinned smile...did you do your bills yesterday?...just a reminder...as we wallow in our extended weekend...we took a bike ride about our fair city yesterday afternoon...the people were EVERYWHERE!...ball game, festival over at the bay, the symphony at nite, too, marches, and of course, tourists...we were bobbing and a weaving...

Hey, the NBA is moving...the players are making their minds up where they are gonna play...one of the major dudes, Paul George, is staying in OKC...has to be for the cash...as they can't beat the Warriors...just a thought, do the elite NOT want to play with LeBron?...and this...Golden St is sneaking around and just may end up with a terrific 2nd unit...there are some key guys, that may end up there...

Tiger...made a great move in the T in DC...then, kind of leveled off on the back 9...he has the charisma, but...can he get it all together?...so many are pulling for him...won't be this week...

Nostalgia...we watched a Bio of Hedy Lamarr...ever heard of her?...geez, I'm probably talking to maybe 4% of you all right now...she was a babe back in the WWII days, then the next 20 years or so...Austrian, who got out of there, prior to the war...lucky move, as she was Jewish...her background included being an inventor...really, really interesting...trust the Horse, and check her out...

Let's get back to the now...North Korea just may not be heeding the scare tactics of POTUS...reports are that they are increasing their output of nuclear arms...just what did those two 'leaders' agree to, anyway?...

So, them Mackles accepted the fried chicken challenge...it is today's event for the ages...we got some organic legs and thighs...brined them overnite...and will concoct a bourbon based, corn starch infused, batter to lather them parts to fry up...pictures will be on at the 10 o'clock news...stay tuned...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
