Tuesday Treats

Had a skip day, as I went a golfing yesterday...early tee time, like 7:19...actually fun to get back out there...hope the miss, didn't screw up your daily routine...soooo...grab yourself a cup of Joe, or tea, or whatever you drink, while we talk together...let's get it on...

POTUS's latest attorney, Rudy Guliani, was a guest on the 'new' Cuomo Show...politics and the like...hmmm, well, pretty much only that...and sure enough, I think he just may be from the Demo side of things...Rudy took some tough Q's and danced around them beautifully...like a good lawyer can do...talk...of course, the key question was about whether or not, Trump can REALLY pardon himself...back in the Watergate days, the then DOJ ruled that the President COULD NOT!...sorry to Richard Milhouse Nixon, but that was the end of your time in the White House ...how is it different now, I ask you?...the underlying is just why are we talking about this, anyway?...what is imminent?...Humpty Trumpty...

From the 'what the heck file'...the Prez's wife, Melania...has NOT been seen for almost 3 weeks...speculations abounded...where, what, and why?...so calm down kids...she has resurfaced at a shindig in the White House, last night...and all is apparently WELL...

Paul Manafort...his name keeps popping up...this time, a real POP...as the special prosecutor team of Robert S Mueller...has indeed 'tampered with 2 witnesses' in their investigation...of secret lobbying that Manafort did, while employed by DJT...does this have signs of Watergate all over again, or what?...

I am not sure at what level this is...certainly childish behavior in my book...I do have a book...but POTUS has reneged his invite to the World Champs of the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles, to come to the White House...there were too many of the Eagles going to pass on the 'invite'...and to save face...Trump said NO to all...where is the civility anymore?...face it Mr Trump, there are people who DON'T like you...and this infamous Trump tweet, today, referring to the NFL, 'No escaping to the locker rooms'...

Nashville has it's week of weeks this one...as the stars hit the stages all over the town, er city, or whatever it is called...the host, sort of, is Blake Shelton...who kicks off a feature time there...on the NBC's Today Show tomorrow...bad timing, Horse, as we would lurve to be there...a side light...we have seen his concert twice...and it is as fun as they come...

Not so, the Mike and Mickey Show...two of the infamous Monkees...as you rabid followers know, we saw them over at Humphreys on Sunday...it was dreadful...not only, can they not carry a tune...but, the show had only two Monkee hits in the first 10 or 12 'songs'...what were those tunes, we were listening to?...no idea...to be honest, it was one of the top 5 WORST concerts we have EVER gone to...geez, maybe top 2...some bloke behind us, bellowed out, 'play some Monkee songs!!!'...thinking about it more, Art Garfunkel was worse...

The upstart Padres...won big last night in game numero uno versus the very hot Atlanta Braves over at Petco...hit 5 dingers and the game was a beaut...3rd win in a row...but, the news was the MLB draft...as we picked 7th...and the Pads picked a high schooler out of Tennessee...with our 2nd pick, another high schooler...which means, we are thinking a 3 or so years, to see if they can pan...not like in hoops, where the picks play in the NEXT season in the bigs...

'There she goes, Miss America'...in my era, it was sung by the host, Bert Parks...ah, the times they are a changing...the swim suit competition part is kaput...no longer part of the process...and there we go...the Horse will NOT comment...just for your info...

Going 180*....CFDA (???) announced their Influencer Award for this year...Kim Kardashian...was the recipient of the honor...and she promptly replied 'I'm kind of shocked getting this fashion award, as I am naked most of the time'...can't make this stuff up...

Well now...keeping up with the idea that swimsuit comp diss, well 180* of that...guess who is opening up a new club in NYC?...Playboy...what?...Hef's son is...with them bunnies and all....a rejuvenated 'Playboy Club'...set to commence in September...ah ha, I can see the pickets now...

 Forgot this...for us Californians...it is VOTE day...if you haven't got your ballot in, DO SO!....the mid terms are amongst us...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
