Horse Sense

A giddy top of the morn to you all!...it's the weekend...any plans?...we are heading over to Petco Park for the Padres/Redlegs game this eve...then mañana, are working our way to Shelter Island, Humphrey's...for a concert by the Monkees...well, the two remaining ones...let's talk...a little Horse Sense...

The Padres game has some luster, I suppose...throw out last night's
debacle, and the team has been on the upswing...and for added incentive, it is Hawaiian Pad Shirt giveaway nite...who can resist that?...we are sitting in the Omni Club seats...so, if lucky, get the seats up by the food...if not, we are down with the commoners...dependent on luck and timing...pictured here are our TV voices of the Padres...Don Orsillo (wearing the Hawaiian shirt) and Mark (Mudcat) Grant...

'Hey hey, we're the Monkees'...take Uber or Lyft to the concert...Mickey Dolenz and Mike Nesmith, are the ones that perform...this is a 'Marsh need to see' one...I have some interest...however, the 8 pm start time, is a bit disturbing...you know, for old bones and all...infringing on possible valuable sleep time...

Had a fun night out...'date nite'...started at our fav new watering hole, in Little Italy...Nolita Hall...terrific vibes, with the cool thing of their viewing board, changing with every airplane that passes just overhead...and we stumbled on a 'new to us' restaurant...Mona Lisa...where we had our norms, spaghetti and meat balls...and lasagna...both sensational...couple that with a liter of the chianti, that was but $14!...it is our new, go to place...for Italian...listen, it is not fancy, but the food, my gawd, the food...

The NBA made their ruling on the two Cavs in jeopardy...actually, the league reviewed the last 2 minutes of the regulation game...and as I figured, had no real penalties awarded...awarded?...levied, is better...they even commented that the refs blew two possible calls, that weren't called...both on the Warrior's Green...the one that got me, was that on the missed FT by the Cavs, with 5 secs to go...Green stepped into the lane too soon...give me a break...the pros do that ALL the time, with it rarely called...

The 2 Cavs in jeopardy...Kev Love came onto the floor during the skirmish at the end of the game...no harm, no foul...get rid of the rule, then...and Tristan Thompson (Khloe's boy), fined $25 grand and no suspension for his aggressive crap...hey, this just opens the door for more stuff...if the league does nothing...figure there will be more of it...which is probably WHAT they want...you know, like fights in hockey...yes, the Horse predicted that outcome...

Feeding a dog is similar (don't go ballistic on this) to feeding a baby...they are totally dependent on the owners, er, parents...so, if you got one...DON'T be negligent...well, to either one...what?...fresh water...c'mon...I must be talking dogs now...I'm old and confused...

My good buddy from the PNW, gave me a ring a ding yesterday and suggested I write about a possible NEW HBO show, that would feature the two ladies in question...lately...have Roseanne and Samantha Bee cohost a point/counterpoint shindig...egads, really?...Snooki...and he also did the update on the Willamette Valley water purity crisis...and there is...no time slot given, for safety to drink...what a mess...

Ya wanna talk some football?...OK, then...there is some banter about the new QB's that were drafted this past season...most of the blokes are working with the 3rd string of the new teams...the 2 that have been getting the best reviews?...USC dude at the Jets, and the UCLA bloke at the Cardinals...and...Johnny Football is back...well, in Canada...in the CFL...did OK in his first pre-season game...and then popped off...ha ha...good luck, Canada, all yours now...

Here at the home, they are having a photog contest...if you are a winner...well, if I am...they blow the photo up and display it with the other winners...last year, I got passed over...very upset about the decision...so, today, I am going to go about and light up me camera...find me a photo or two to enter...it has to be epitomizing the area here in the GQ....hmmm, figure a pix of the countless homeless, would not be a winner...c'mon sunshine, I need you...

One of the latest ploys of the sports channels...is to video the players as they arrive at the arenas where they are to play....almost like a red carpet for the pretty people at them damn award shows...well, anyhoo...this is what the King wore to the last game in Alameda...at a cost of $46,000!...is that a Gavinchy?...you know, they need Ryan Secrest there with a microphone, asking them important q's...'LeBron, what we you wearing?'...

Back in the day...IF Tiger Woods was playing at the Memorial...you know, Jack's (Nicklaus) Place...IT was Tiger and everyone else...well, he IS playing...and IS in contention...and IF his putter gets hot, HE just may WIN this T, again...I'll be watching IT today...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
