Bevos Win!

Your '18 National Beisbol Champs?...none other than the pride of the Pacific Northwest, the Oregon State Beavers!...sensational run at the CWS...losing their first game, in the last 2 series...battling back, and winning them both...giving the Head Coach, Pat Casey, THREE champs rings...totally awesome...

Being a Duck and Aztec fan, I show no hard feelings here...pride for the state and that team, yes...if I can't root for my teams, the Bevos get me vote...timely hitting, solid defense, and rattling pitching...that will do it...in the 3rd and final game to determine who is the CHAMP!...

Purists, may have been shaking their heads, as to the pitch count...of Akers, the San Diego product, I might add...well over 130 for the game, and something like 23 the night before...BUT, being a former coach and all...I say hogwash to that...you ask him how he feels...is he laboring?...go with your gut...Casey did...and, the only hurt he may have suffered, was being on bottom of the celebratory player PILE at the conclusion of the WIN...

Arkansas, will forever do a 'what if'...misplaying the potential final out, and winning the championship the night before...as from that error on, momentum was all OSU...congrats...Bevos!...

Other...

Absolutely horrifying news out of Annapolis, Maryland...where a crazed assassin, shot up a newspaper staff there...killing 5 and injuring many more...I keep wondering if there is a 'safe haven' from the gun toting wannabe killers out there?...pieces of the story keep filtering in...who, why, and how...and the sad tale of those who will forever be harmed by yet another senseless SHOOTING...

Hard to segway into another story but....there are these thangs called Segways...that one rides about the city in a sight seeing venture...with the availability of the electric scooters EVERYWHERE, they replace the Segway, I would imagine...BTW, there is a law in the books, to allow these motorized scooters on SIDEWALKS...egads, run for you life...

I recall this from a fellow teach, way back when...Mo Fitzsimons...his son (Pat) made it to the PGA Tour and won...the LA Open...and I asked him when does the magic stop on Tour?...putting...the greens are terrifyingly fast...the fear creeps in and you are through...guess who is having trouble with the putter?...Tiger...not the drives, not the irons, not the wedges, but the putter...

Judgment day for the NBA movers and shakers...is there going to a super team formed?...can the LaLa Lakers offer enough to the Spurs to garner Kawhi Leonard?...hot rumor is that San Antonio does not want any part of the Ball kid....which the Lake Show is offering...as part of the package...it will be fun to follow the plight of the trades today...ESPN is all over it...

An athlete...who somehow 'gets the job done'...you know them...they are not spectacular, but find ways to win...whatever they do...one such is Tim Tebow...led Florida to the title...in football...led the Denver Broncos, to playoff wins in the NFL...but, was not heralded as the super QB, like Tom Terrific...eventually, he was dropped out of the league...went to the broadcasting booth...ah ha, not good enough for him....so, he decides to try beisbol...starts from the bottom, with so many doubters, it was downright silly...guess what?...he is thriving in double A ball...and the rumor mill is, a shot in the bigs...MLB, is right around the corner...an athlete, kids...

Speaking of dogs...you know, them 'dogs'...hot dogs...weenies...in da buns...'get 'em while they are hot'...the ones at the ball park...the ritual of buying them...slathered with mustard, relish, some peops actually put catsup on 'em (NOOOO!), well, they would put Ketchup on anything, those types...maybe cover them with sauerkraut (what IS that?)...cheese?...onions...you KNOW, you can cook them at home...what is your fav brand?...beef, chicken, turkey, or veggie?...I like the big, fat, beef ones...

Back here at the home...we have a relatively new manager for the building...and he is a good one, kids...does what he says he is gonna do...like it's 82* in the swimming pool...we swam yesterday in the 82* temp pool...mahvelous...greets you in the am in the lobby...little things...about time we have success here...at the home...

It's a Friday, thus, there are releases of new music in iTunes...well, the iTunes store...man, am I lost on the newbies...who is Drake?...isn't he the bloke that sits as a coach on the NBA Toronto sideline?...you mean, he sangs, too?...multifaceted...I am getting more and more OUT of it...

Let's close with this...did you know it is National Alaska Day?...alrighty then, let's celebrate with one of our fav Alaskans...guess who...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
