Tuesday in the Hood

Morning, ya'll...how's it hangin'?...we are starting out with another cloud cover here in the hood...they call it 'May Gray' around these parts....and it is a truth, my good friends...breaks up around 10ish...and then the sun emerges...never too hot, never too cold...them 100* days are for those spots east of us...we wallow about in the 70* range for most of the year...

The 7th and final game in Houston was a doozy!...of course, I am a Golden State fan, of their style of play...and really did not think they would pull it off...especially down by 11 at halftime, I sensed the impending doom...but, they rebounded with terrific energy and made some critical shots...chased the Beard down...and the rest of the Rockets could not find the hoop...in fact, they went thru a span of 27 missed 3 point shots...there you go...live by the 3, die by the 3...they are done...

There are lots of finger pointing...by Houston...officiating, they are saying...give me a break...Chris Paul (CPIII) was out...that is justifiable...he was carrying 'em, while the Beard was not...horrific defensive scheme by the Rockets...a truth ( not different than most pro coaches, tho)...one could argue that...Iggy (GS's defender king) was out for 4 straight...Klay got 3 quick fouls in the 1st Q and SAT...in a loosely called game, his were not loose...

Fact is this...team play is the decider...the Warriors have it, and the Rockets have less of it...listen, I absolutely enjoy the ball movement...finally, when it was over...most players embrace their opponents...give their kudos to one another for a splendid battle on the court...not the Beard, he sprinted off the floor, quicker than I have seen him ever move...a disgusting 'idol', who will probably win the league's MVP...with the likes of LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Kev Durant in the mix...and CPIII, too...all are more deserving...they play both sides of the ball...

More questionable stuff...this time in MLB...the former 1B of the Padres...and now a star of da Cubbies...Anthony Rizzo...has done IT again...a take out slide, er whatever, at home plate...listen, kids, this used to be 'part of the game', a few years back...until one of the stars of the game, C of the Giants, Buster Posey...got injured on a take out...lost for a year...and the league had had enough...and put in rules to protect the unprotected catcher in these collisions...got it?...well now, last season...versus our own SD Pads, Rizzo blasted our catcher...and nuttin' happened to him...what rule?...apparently, he is above the rule...and a few days ago...did it again...this time in Pitt...came inside the baseline, big time...and took out the Pirate catcher...nuttin' again...clean this up, MLB...

Starbucks is closing 8,000 of their stores today from 2 to 3 pm...for unconscious bias training...see how those words run off your lips?...isn't this a norm for all businesses?...or, more of a ploy, to show the country, they are treating ALL people well?...hey, there are thousands of these coffee shops, with a rotating amount of thousands of employees...and you are bound to get some knot heads...fire 'em and move on...

Reminded me of way back when...I was taking son Cris...about...to get him his first car...this was in Salem, Oregon...we walked into a dealership...and the salesperson came up to 'greet us'...and gave me quite the greeting...told me there were cars down the street at the Kmart that would be more in my style and price range...amazing!...we walked out...and then I WALKED BACK IN!...went right up to the manager and told him who I was...what I had witnessed and what was said to me...yes, I wanted to hit the salesperson so badly....have no idea what happened to him...but an example, that all places have knot heads...

Hawaii...the destination spot for many of us...has drawn up a political bill...that would ban some 'sun tanning products'...really...they have found that if the spray or cream has two substances in 'em,  oxybenzone or octinoxate, they are to cause mortality to developing coral reefs...wowser, these must be powerful suntan screens...

Talk about nothing...I tried to watch a bit of the Bachelorette...just not interested....wonder why?...tired of the plot?...I dunno...something is amiss...maybe the peops are not interesting...

So on we go to the NBA finals...for the 4th straight season...it is the Cavs and the Warriors...which did not look like it would be, a few weeks ago....Vegas has put quite the number on game 1...has to be a record of sorts...12 point advantage to Golden St...who, BTW, has the home court advantage...

Man, this month has flown by...

BREAKING....racists tweet by Rosanne?...see my car search above...and ABC then CANCELS her show...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
