You a hoop junkie?...if so, this final series in the NBA is fer ya...the most complete basketball players on the planet are meeting up...mind you, for the 4th straight year...the dudes are LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Kev Durant...representing their teams, Cleveland Cavs and the Golden St Warriors...promises to be like the other 3...seasons...close...

 Vegas has other ideas...making the Dubs a prohibitive fav...NOOOOO...Lebron is too good for that to happen, kids...the Cavs will come up with pressure D, that restricts the Warriors from the free wheeling that they like to do...to most everyone else...now, I am not saying that the Alameda team will not win the set...as I pull for them...

IFF (math term) they make James play D, it is going to be a quick finals...isolate him on switches...with the amount of time he stays on the floor...it would be the ticket...so there, make THAT, the key to the games...

The lovable Padres got another win...did I say ANOTHER?...last night...down one, in the bottom of the ninth...bases loaded...is there anything more dramatic in the game?...pinch hitter up...Hunter Renfroe...big dude...takes a big swing and hits a dribbler on the 3rd base line...the 3rd Baseman charges, has no play at the plate...we tie it up...and then throws wildly to 1st..and we win in a walk off...on a dribbler!...any way we can...hey, I'm not sure if the winning runner ever touched home, and I'm sure Renfroe didn't touch first...until he walked back and did so, after the errant throw...ball game!...go figure...need ones just like that...

1968...finished the 4 part series...an unbelievable year of colossal happenings...and the culmination of it all?...the launch of a manned missile that went to the moon!...while we were fighting for our lives?...in Vietnam...talk about 180*...yes, this was the year...that Nixon won the Presidency, too...while the Governor from Alabama influenced the vote, George Wallace...such a weird, bizarre, piece of time for this country....you MUST see it...

I need you to focus on the Demo Convention of that year...'68...it was the era that candy men didn't have to run state to state...that the state delegates voted for the masses...it was in Chicago...there were riots in the streets and ON the convention floor...and the way the cops and National Guard were instructed to 'billy club' the protestors was near another Civil War...

Who came up with the spelling of George anyway?...this language can be hard to figure out...often...remember trying to understand it back in school?...

The earth stood still for a moment yesterday...as the one and only, Kim Kardashian, traversed the steps to the White House to have a private meet and greet with Prez T...our tribe calls that a pow wow...make that 'Pow Wow'...she was there on behalf of a jailed person...I guess...seeking a pardon...right...I hope that meeting was taped...not sure, but did Billy Bush accompany her?...there are loads of other inappropriate comments that I could make, but will not...use YOUR imagination...

I did get me hairs cut yesterday...short on the side, leave the top long, block the back...yea, I got the military cut, $12 please...but I did hear this...the gal says she has many police clients...and they claim this...most of the homeless in our area...are here due to other states giving them one way tickets to one of three destinations...LA, Vegas, or San Diego...how about cleaning that up?...

POTUS just released this...he is increasing tariffs on the aluminum and steel products we import from Mexico, Canada, and the European Union...let's see, we export the steel and tax the product they make with it....what is going on?...

Finally, we read in the Trib that there was a 'mermaid mannequin' at Sunset Cliffs...inquiring minds wanted to know and the eye balls wanted to see it...soooo, off we went to see it...just past OB (Ocean Beach)....there she be...how did someone (s) get it out there?...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
