The Anthem

Morning, ya'll...not sure how many days that it's been, that we have arisen and alas, cloud cover!...this has been an extraordinary winter and spring here in SoCal...top it off, still cool at night...I think it's been 10 years now...and this is the one that has been so diff from the other 9...there you go, the weather analysis from the Horse...

My headline today is the National Anthem, that is played prior to the beginning of the sporting events in our country...in particular, the NFL...which has come under scrutiny when a player decided to kneel during the playing of the Anthem...Colin Kaepernik...his reasoning was towards the treatment of his race...and the action created feelings of some others to do the same...

There are those out there, that have strong feelings about it...of course, polarized camps...one side feels that the personal rights of the individual must be allowed...the other, says that it is awful, that the Country is THE flag and the ANTHEM...respect it and be thankful you are here...

The NFL is sensitive to the kneeling...and have been addressing it during their owners meeting...have come up with a plan...that the players do not have to come out and be on the field as the ANTHEM is being played or sung...but, if you do, and you kneel, YOU will be fined...hmmm....

So, POTUS, got into it...of course...made his statement...that if you kneel 'maybe you shouldn't be in this country'...there you go, guess which camp he is from?...

The San Diego Union-Tribune's columnist, Mark Ziegler, ran a column on this today...saying it would be 'better off ditching the Anthem'...read his take on the web net...

Breaking news...POTUS has canceled the North Korean summit...this just after, NK announced that they have destroyed one of their nuclear sites...hmmm...what?...

I can't let this go...Jared (not the jewelry store) , Ivanka's man...has finally been given security clearance in the White House...well, something like that...and is free to go about...seems about right, as he has been instrumental in the dealings with Israel...wonder if he knows the others roaming about, as they change as often as the stop lights on the street do...I digress...

Sports...

Go figure the Celts and the Cavs...as Boston whupped LeBron and Co. at home...almost seems like it is scripted...what am I saying?...stop that...and in the west, the Warriors are in Houston...weird odds on it...Golden St is favored...what?...

The lovable Pads got the 3rd game in DC...whew...our best SP, Tyson Ross, continues his remarkable rehab...we are so lucky...to have him...off we go to LaLa Land...gosh, I wish our GM Preller, would get us some quality pitchers...duh...

Brit's ex...well now, I am not talking the country, Great Britain...but the Great Britney Spears...her ex...the one she had the kids with, Kevin Federline...he is seeking more alimony...ah yes...music to all  of us, men who stay at home...is seeking 3 times what he has been getting...no comment...

The new Bachelorette is about to commence...dang if the lens of a camera caught the gal kissing a dude...is he the new beau?...you see, they have already finished the task...finding a man...now are in production...hey, find Reality Steve's blog...and you can be ahead of this game...

This and that...

ABC has made some moves on their daytime lineup...expanding Good Morning America to 3 hours...and in the process, canceling their nooner, 'The Chew'...which we watched often...too bad...ranked 2nd all time for moi...right after 'The Perry Mason Show' for best lunch time broadcasts...

Referring back to my 'Statues' blog...did you see the bust of the soccer star, Brandie Chastain?...geez, looked more like Prez Jimmy Carter...they are going to do a redo...BTW, I have this feeling that Trump would rather have his BUST on his Towers, rather than his name...

AOL ran a bit on what you shouldn't eat or drink on an airplane...let's just summarize that if you are consuming anything other than bottled water, you are wrong...

Dang, Snooki, I think we missed out on 'Stormy Daniels Day' in LaLa Land...must have been at Disneyland, right?...

You do know, that your Uber driver is rating YOU, just as you are rating HIM or HER...just imagine, rating a cabbie...

Oops and the latest...I forgot to mention this in the east coast edition...we dropped Hello Fresh...we found the quality of the meats, not as good as what we could get at our local stores, and of course, Costco...things got a bit repetitive....

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
