Memorial Day

Of all the holidays, this one is certainly worthy...to honor the fallen soldiers of this country...regardless of the battles they were in...they were doing their duty...and gave the biggest sacrifice one can...yes, this is a day of days...we honor them all...on this, MEMORIAL DAY!

1968...did you watch the CNN Special that aired last night?...terrifying and terrific at the same time...one of the producers is the actor and I suppose, activist, is Tom Hanks...the deaths of both MLK and RFK in the first 6 months was devastating to us...guns...lordy, we are still battling the guns...except now, we are dealing with rapid fire ones, as well...this is also the ongoing battle with Vietnam time...riots in our streets...LBJ announces he is not running for the next presidency...the list goes on...such a lot of commotion, in a condensed period of time...you MUST watch it....

LeBron...dominated the game last eve...as the Cavs roll on...to the finals...geez, if the Celts just made half of their easy shots in the 1st half, I would be writing a totally different paragraph here...but, they didn't...and the opponent will be determined tonight in Houston...gulp, I do think it will be the Rockets...and the final match will be the King vs the Beard...

I must add this...for all the notoriety that Boston's HC Brad Stevens, gets from the adoring media...but, apparently not from his peers (no votes for Coach of Year)...his in game tactics were borderline kid's play...he had no clue what to do, especially defensively...

House hunting...spent the day roaming thru other condos and even, a house in OB, er Ocean Beach...and we come to this realization...that we are living in a very cool place...with more views than what we could trade for...or even, buy up for (within reason)...nothing like a great room...not that we are through looking, but...oh yea, OB is an interesting place...some call it like an oldie 'hippie town'...well, maybe...

Wow the east is getting some weather!...the video of the waters rising thru the town in Maryland, is downright scary...and devastating...the south is also getting storms...egads...

You a Spam eater?...be careful, as there was a problem in packaging...your can may be on recall...check the dates...'metal objects' may be found in the 'food'...hmmm, what is in Spam anyway?...

Well, it was fun to have the son here for the weekend...always...and our daily grind returns....geez, that may be too harsh...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
