A Little Bit Stronger

As we approached the stage of the Sycuan Theater...thoughts ruled the brain, that we are REAL close to it...2nd row, in fact...in one, that has but 4 seats in it...I can't recall something like this...the venue, is simply awesome...every seat is cushioned...yup, very comfy...the star of the night, just RIGHT there...not sure if I can paint a better picture of this...

Sara Evans...lit up the stage!...her band, which included her sister and brother, was a tight, rocking support group...and she...can sang, kids...probably the best of the night was a cover...really...for you not in the know, that is a singer sanging some one else's hit tune...this one was a Edwin McCain song, which she made famous..."I Could Not Ask For More"...which brought tears to her, and a standing ovation by the enthusiastic, adoring crowd...her rendition, was exemplary...

Thinking back, maybe this one too...Chicago's "Hard To Say I'm Sorry"...eerily wonderful...

Her banter with the audience, made you feel like she was...REAL...get that KFam lurvers....stories about her and her family...all good and it was...a GREAT nite...

Other...

NBA...the Warriors and 76ers closed out their first matches and move on...no surprises there...and wait on some of the others...like the Cavs...and the Jazz...what will happen?...hey hey, that's why they play the games...

You know, I follow the collegiate hoops a lot...from infraction to infraction, from game to game, and from non-compliance to non-penalization by the governing body, the NCAA...who, somehow got some info from the FBI, too...alas, what is going to come from it?...

Out of nowhere, at least in me memory bank comes this...a group of people formed to address all the problems that exist in the present day collegiate hoops...really...'The Commission on College Basketball'...lead by former Sec of State, Condoleezza Rice...it's a 14 person group, which includes some people in the know...some names, Grant Hill, Mike Montgomery, David Robinson, and others, ie AD's...just a wide range of members...

They brought their findings to the NCAA...it is straightforward...ban the cheaters for 5 years...do away with the one and done feature of the players...strip any of the summer AAU camps run by the shoe makers...in essence, it is NOW the time to clean up this corrupt system...let's see where this goes...

Gotta love them Pads...score 13 one night, and get zilched the next...SD unveiled one of their newbies on the mound...well, he got rocked and we have growing pains...yet again...you know, we have been here about 10 years, and I must admit this...the Pads are still in the 'growing stage'...how long can an organization say the same things?...man, they have been putting band aids on the hurt for that period of time...it's true...

So what's been going on at the White House?...POTUS's nominee to head the VA...his personal doctor...Ronny L. Jackson...has been torn apart by his past...too many skeletons, I reckon...geez, I think the Prez even recommended that he withdraw his name...what?...more of the same?...

ESPN actually did their OWN version of tomorrow's NFL Draft...using beat writers from the team's areas...kind of silly, but I watched it for awhile...and yea, the Browns rep had them take who I think is the best QB, from USC...however, here's the deal...Cleveland has the number 1 and 4 draft choices...they should draft the Penn St RB first...and then take the best QB available in the 4th pick...cuz these top 5 quarterbacks are all very comparable...

Really?...the Stock Market?...really?...

KK must be so proud of her daughter, the other KK...with the latest pix she released...you seen it?...nothing left to the imagination...their idea for the tabloids and to stay RICH, apparently...put something out each and every day...one of them...the amazing thing?...it has worked...

I think I am going to venture out and buy the James Comey book...has to be a good read...
