Morning, kids...I've always wondered if these Special Days have significant meaning to others...like it does to me...I mean, the National Pizza Day was a matter of exploration...still trying to find the perfect pie...or, the impact of the upcoming Valentine's Day...do the flowers, candy, and dinner make that much of a difference?...or, you could combine these 2 Special Days together...
Commercialized?...you bet...but, why not?...the colors are fun and festive...they in themselves make you in the mood of VD...oops, in my time, that meant something else...and not a good thing...I digress...OK, guys, get out of the box, and do the day right...you can thank me later...
Mardi Gras...a staple for the Gaslamp for many years...has taken a break for this time around...what?...the cost of protection...security...has risen too much, the organizers say...hmmm...really?...there is a hidden issue...the restaurants and bars on 5th, have come and gone...way too frequently...so...it's not so much the security cost, but who has the $ to afford it...ah ha...weird, as whenever they have the roads blocked off...the amount attending is huge!...
Upcoming is the Cinco de Mayo...love the q, 'what day is that on?'...sure, we all have language barriers, but c'mon...nachos, burritos, tacos, and margaritas...what's not to like?...

Netflix has a couple of highly entertaining shows going on now...one is the Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Having Coffee...something like that...and the episode that I really enjoyed...was his guest Michael Richards...hey, you know him as 'Kramer'...it made me belly laugh all over again...it was odd, to hear Jerry call him Michael, tho...I wanted him to be referred to as 'Cosmo'...an interesting finish to the segment...is that Richards still is hurting for his outburst to a heckler when he was doing a standup routine, a few years back...he said he should have kept this mouth shut...and is still paying for it...emotionally...listen, we all make mistakes...
The other is the David Letterman sit-down interviews...his last one?...George Clooney...BTW, who made up the spelling of George?...how about J-O-R-J?...well, GEORGE comes from a wonderful family...and Letterman spelled that out quite nicely...I won't give you more...find it and watch it...he seems to be a class act...
IT, er, Isaiah Thomas, proved me wrong...thus far...had a terrific game in his opener for the LaLa Lakers...for all of the trade dudes, he played the fastest...I mean, he played right away...and fit right in...IT was in...maybe the dawg caller he had around his neck in Cleveland, was too tight...oh yea, and he came off the bench, mister IT agent...
Tragic news out of Moscow...a plane went down with some 70 people aboard...doesn't that happen there too often?...they are now releasing it was 71 aboard...
You never can tell (Chuck Berry)...how these stars really get along, or don't...there was this show that was on in this household every week...about 4 ladies living their lives in NYC...'Sex in the City'...love that name, BTW...well now, 2 of them are at odds...Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker...is this real?...or fiction?...hey, it was ahead of it's time...an HBO thinger...
NBA refs...Friday nite games...there were 16 technical fouls called...c'mon...whoever is in charge...let's clean this up...yes, at times, they are warranted...no doubt...but a rampant 16?...there must be no respect for either side...right?...
Hello Fresh...it is a winner, kids!...all 3 of the recipes were grand...the packaging is perfect...the main course is sealed...and fresh...hello!...and we do the cooking together....listen, kids...if you are in need of planning your daily meals...this is a great option...we are continuing on with it...
How about this for a story...and it's not made up...there was this Colorado couple...wanting a change of life...sold their earthly belongings and their house...well, at least their house...bought a sail boat and were set for their next phase of life...in Florida...er, off the coast of it...and the boat sank on day 2...TWO...dos...!!!...geez, hope they have insurance...
It's like us...buying a mini-motor home...gonna go see the country via the highway...and then it breaks down just outside of San Diego...maybe, we should put that idea on hold...well, at least until the little wurman retires from real estate...
Tonight we are heading out to Sycuan...the casino...for a concert...this will take you all back into time...Poco and the Pure Prairie League...yes...the big hit for Poco?...can you remember 'Crazy Love'?...
