Julian

So you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city?...of San Diego...tired of this and that...and want to show your Oregonian guests what is out there, in the big, wild eastern area...off we jaunt to the happy town of...Julian...tucked away in the mountains, thru a dang zig zaggy road...with an elevation of 4200 feet or so...there abouts...

This is the change of seasons land for this part of SoCal...I think they got snow 3 times this winter...odd, as our Bend, Orygun friends, them Gahrs...only got snow ONE time thus far in their part of the world...weird...anyway, the weather now....is splendid!...70* there...as we took the convertible...top down the whole way...

You see, you go back into time there...a small little town...that if you close your eyes, you can feel the path of the covered wagon...or in my case, the hoofs of the horses trotting down main street...BTW, there aren't many more of the streets there...quaint little shops, cozy restaurants, a couple of mom and pop markets, and a real estate office...dominate the street...

Almost...as the main item that glorifies the city...is the infamous Julian Pies...in particular, the apple pie...there are many pie shops there...we chose Mom's this time...and bought the Apple and Cherry Flaky one...and yes, it is awesome...terrific time and worth the trip, kids...give it a go, when you are down in our neck of the woods...

Other...

Talk about rumors that knock off any others in the NBA...that the King...LeBron James...has let this out...that he would entertain the notion of coming to the...drum roll please...the Golden St Warriors...!!!...if THEY can adjust their cap room...I can't imagine the commish allowing this...recall, when the commish (Stern) back when, blocked CPIII from joining the Lake Show?...too strong a team...got to figure the now guy (Silver) will do the same...right?...

PDX's 'other' guard, CJ McCollum...did something absolutely amazing...threw in FIFTY points in 3 quarters last eve...50!...let's just say, he was 'on fire!'...against the once mighty Bulls...not any more...they are now almost pitiful...

From the 'I can't believe this' files...the case of the death of the legendary star Natalie Wood...may be reopened...and her husband, Robert Wagner, is a person of interest...some 40 years ago...really?...this is where we are going?...

Well, I have to find some time to do them bloody bills...and then, off we go to Coronado...hey, kids, have a great day....and I'll see YOU on the web net...
