The Lights Are Out

Well now, the Government is indeed...SHUT DOWN!...as the Demos did their thang, and vetoed the continuance of monies to keep the country working...there you go, our MONEY voting elected officials...them Senators...thought it be better to stop everything, rather than pass the bill to flow the bills...truth be known, the blokes and blokettes did NOT go home...they stayed and are working on an alternate plan to get the pais back up and running...'what can you do for moi?'...I'd scrap them all...

The Women's March...supposed to be everywhere in this fine nation today...ie, here in the downtown...I'm confused...are there going to be opposition marches?...for and against abortion?...er, right to choose?...and it says, women...is that women only?...Prez T is to address the march in DC...I dunno, I can't believe that the one here in SD would want him speaking to them...he just may be the reason for them gathering and a walking...

The Pats and Jags game in the NFL...so much query about if Tom Terrific has or doesn't have a bad finger on his throwing hand....ah yes, the NE camp is mostly silent on this...Coach Bellycheck has said nuttin...Vegas is furious!...what kind of line do they put up, if TT is injured, or OUT?!...maybe that is what they want...confuse LV...and, of course, the DC of the Jags...for me?...a smoke screen...

Rumor mill...one key MLB insider has this to say about the beloved Padres...they WILL sign 1B Eric Hosmer...if that's the case, this team will be a marked difference from the day before he will sign...oh yea, the elder 1B and former player of lots of teams, AGonzo, signed for almost minimum wage (MLB's) with the NY Mets...

Watched a terrific hoops game last eve on the Pac 12 channel...OSU and UO...the gals...both teams are in the top 20 in the nation...listen, it was really, really well played...and the Beavs, at home, prevailed in OT...BTW, there was a packed house...they plan again on Sunday, this time in Eugene...find it and watch it...

Kind of figured this...but the news out was that Tom Petty died of an overdose...I think I have told you this story before...but, in case you don't recall...we had this tune on one of our Floridian trips a good while back on the radio...sounded just like Bob Dylan...'Mary Jane's Last Dance'...turned out it was Petty and his band...got us hooked...on his music...

OK, kids, that's it for today...get me some food and out I go to the course...geez, lots of wind out there...
