Silly Ball

The NBA had a full docket of games, on MLK's Holiday...I guess to honor him...there were clips of 'stars' explaining what Mr King and the special day meant to them...I'm not sure they really feel it...maybe so...I dunno...but, back to the league...they had some special games...the featured one...was the Golden St Warriors visiting the Q...ha ha, Cleveland's version...and playing the Cavs...

The Dubs came to life in the 4th stanza and whupped the home team...as the demise of the King led Cavaliers, continues...I repeat myself here, but the addition of the PG Isiah Thomas, is a subtraction to that group...he is no where close to the dude that they traded away, Kyrie Irving...

However, the blog story of the day, and, er nite...was the Houston Rockets at the LaLa Clip Joint...the underlying piece is that the PG of Houston, CP III, was back playing at the place he jilted ...the crowd gave him a rousing ovation...for the times he was there...but not so much the players...and it turned ugly...

Chris Paul...and Blake Griffin...when on the same squad with the Clips...reportedly were not the best of friends...and man oh man, did it show last eve...as the two 'bumped' into one another a few times...exchanged pleasantries...which led to others doing the same...lots of name calling going on...jawing...a couple of blokes got tossed...the irrepressible pixel analyst, and former trash talking NBA champion of the crap talk, Reggie Miller, LOVED it...

Here's where it gets SILLY...the Clips won...both teams exited quite quickly...those remaining...the TV dudettes did their after game interview...and there you go...

You see, CP III knows the ins and outs of the building...really...and the Rockets were hopping mad that they were treated they way they were...so, Paul decided to lead a brigade of them...thru a 'secret' passage way to the Clip Joint's locker room...to seek out and destroy the main culprits of the their frustrations...allegedly...

The two in question...Blake Griffin and the coach's son, Little Rivers, who, BTW, wasn't even playing...and that's where the story gets fuzzy...not sure what happened thereafter...men, naw...boys will be boys...here's the best I heard...it was the KFam effect...as some of the 'combatants' were daters of the west coast camelot congregation...

Other...please...

I'm well into the book, 'Fire and Fury'...and if just half of what this author says is the truth, we are in big trouble, kids...big trouble...you ask me, is this worth the reading?...absolutely...if I was a fan of politicians, well, I'm not...but, it's their gig...and I get that...you need some of them in the system...even if the elected one is not...

When the fast food chains decide to change up their dollar menu...it confuses us that buy only from it...one has to rearrange their thinking...can't they think of the consumer?...moi...

Normally...you take your team to the playoffs...any playoff and any league...and your job is safe for the next year...but, the mighty Tennessee Titans ownership are not the norm...allegedly, asked the HC to fire some of his assistants...he balked..and now HE is gone...I think the owner knew that...and wants some dude in particular to take over the team...here is where it gets haywire...as the dude he wants, the OC of the Pats...is coveted elsewhere...and he may not get who he really wanted...boooo...

And this...after the Cavs/GS game...the showers in the Warrior's locker room...mysteriously were vacant of hot water...ha ha...man, I can think back about that sort of thing...used by many...everywhere...too much heat in the opponents locker room...no heat...headphones that don't work...no towels...missing chalk boards...the list goes on...watering down the base paths...not cutting the infield grass...anything to get an advantage...or to fire up the opponent in a negative way...I remember this bloke who was about to play a super fast breaking team in hoops...had new, tight nets put on...so the ball would slowly drop thru...as to slow the outlet...ha ha...wonder who that was?...

It's a silly game we play...
