I Have A Dream

It is MLK Day...Martin Luther King...seems to me, that it took a while to get this to be a National Holiday...in my youth, as the walls of bigotry were crumbling...a bit...the leader was Mr King...who believed in non-violence...and led his people to equality in the States...yes, judging was done by the color of one's skin...

In my collegiate days, there was this civil rights issue, as well as the horrid Vietnam War...the country was exploding with anger and frustration...the assassinations of leaders of the different movements was even more terrifying...JFK, his brother RFK, and MLK, all lost their lives during this time...to the bullet...I remember it as tragic...and, at the same time, hopeless...

Time took over...to heal...and bring promise to our culture...I suppose...listen, it is still a work in progress...

Other...

Had a terrific meal at Benihana's...for the birthday girl...having the cooker, do the meal right in front of you, is way cool...thanks to the Dude and Susan, and, the Mackles, for joining us...and celebrating another...oops, that doesn't sound right...let's leave it at joining us...ha ha...

The end of the Vikings/Saints game apparently was a doozy...I heard all about it at the dinner hot plate...er, whatever that cooking area is called...was talking to my son, as he told me that the Saints kicked the game winning FG...with 25 seconds left...and off we went to the dinner...and then...

The other one of the NFL games for the day...the Jags upset the Steelers...you KNOW I have no clue on the winners of these bloody games...just another example of...

So...we went to a mall...up just east of LaJolla...while I have been writing about the demise of these things...this one, is doing the opposite...it is growing and you'd never think of a downturn on Malls...oh yea, actually got me book...'Fire and Fury' at the Amazon Book Store...I didn't even know this store existed...weird, just weird...

Down in the south...like the other south...east...where there aren't many 'Indian Casinos', yet...there are floating ones...like mini cruise casinos...so the peops get aboard...float in the water...and can gamble there...well, one of them...in the waters of Florida...caught fire...and the people did what they could to get off the boat...many dove or jumped into the water and swam to shore...geez, in Floridian water?...egads...gator bait...

This is in the 'oh my' category...you recall the performance of the one and only Mariah Carey in NYC for New Years?...she wanted her tea...right...now, there is a resurgence in the masses wanting their tea, too...doesn't take much to start a fad, now, does it...

Still in the works stage...one of the hot commodities for the past Xmas season...was the gift of your very own drone...appears that it is not that easy to fly, or use...and many of them, fly off never to be found again...ha ha...really?...they get out of battery range...and then, see ya...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
