Ancestry

Fer a good long time now, there has been this cousin of mine...that has been digging into the family tree...searching archives, everywhere...finding pictures of great great, well, you know, mothers and fathers...and on and on...my mom's side...the Santee Sioux...John LaVelle...a law professor out of New Mexico...in preparation for writing a book about the lineage...

Often seen on his Facebook posts...he and his mate, Monte Deer Carden, seem to be everywhere...meeting up with people and doing more and more research...well, it was our turn...as they were in San Diego for a convention...we had the good fortune to meet up for a couple of sessions...the work he has done is overwhelming...he and Marsh gandered at what she had...a 'book' of our ancestors...from my mom's side to my dad's...and her parents, too...that she has made for our son...it is in itself, amazing...

John shared some marvelous pix of the ancestors...one, in particular, was as clear as it was taken yesterday...truly remarkable and I thank him for his efforts...

So what did I find out?...that we were lucky way back when...when the Government was in the 'get rid of the Sioux' mode...that we were spared...and the ancestry continued...on...

Other...

Off we went to Barnes & Noble...to get the Michael Wolff book...'Fire and Fury'...alas, none were to be had...a bewildered sales person asked if we wanted to be on the list to get one...what?...while there, there were 3 customers in for the same reason...hmmm, I know I can download it on my iPad...but, I prefer the hard bound...my immediate need, dwindled...and deflated...

You know there is a new Netflix show in the works...'The David Letterman Show!'...I miss him...maybe a bit too snarly for you...er, sarcastic...but, my good friends, that is right up my alley...and...his first guest is gonna be...drum roll please...former Prez, Barack Hussein Obama...unfiltered...just got to believe that Prez T won't watch it...ha ha...

Our Padres...made a couple of moves yesterday...a couple of 'maybe' pitchers...maybe they will work out...heard rumors of offers on the table...that are still on it....2B Javier Baez and 1B Eric Hosmer...both would be coups...do these ever go our way?...don't we ever get the break?...

Did you see any of the LaLa Lakers last eve?...oh my...the sink hole has 'em...something is going amiss...has to be bad chemistry...as these blokes are getting hammered...look lost...

Rejoice all of you Oregon State Beaver fans!...your hoops dudes beat the Ducks!!!...convincingly...been awhile for that...good on ya...not sure where the fire power is from UO...and this could be a very loooonnnnngggg season...I think the Beavs are gonna get better and better...already at 10 wins...

Your Golden Globes is this weekend...nope, not going there...it will be the liberal world of actors and actresses feasting on the conservatives...oh yea, the comedians having a field day...Prez T, this is another you should not watch...ah yes, the awards for the pretty people...like they need more recognition...who will make the best thank you speech, that will turn into the Weinstein slam?...

For you locals...where do you take your watch for a new battery?...I found this great place on University...the dude knows his biz...fast and reasonably priced...called 'About Time'...and that's all he does...worth the trip to Hillcrest...

Tiger is back!...he starts up here at the Farmer's out at Torrey Pines...this month, starting on the 24th...I have this gal who sells me reduced price ones...er, tix...maybe you should plan on the first 2 days....just in case...

This is the day that I meet up with HDCP Andy for a 2 block jaunt to Striders for the hosses...gonna make hay, er cash, from the races at Santa Anita...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
