So ya'll want some satire, do ya?...how about these apples...the one person on staff that you re-up his contract...for an additional 3 years...and then watch this bloke, the apparently highly regarded GM...er, AJ Preller...do his magic on getting the team, the mighty San Diego Padres, stocked up with better players for the oncoming year, and wait for it...years...to come...

And GASP out loud at what he came up with...yesterday...widely panned, as owning the poorest starting pitching staff in the bigs...he signed a couple of dudes to bolster that group...you know, to improve it...oh my...Tyson Ross and Chris Young...what?...former Pads, that have seen their better days...this is what he spends his, er, the Pad's $ on?...let's see...he already brought back Chase Headley...is Adrian Gonzalez next?...I know Kooz is out there, too...hey, is Jake Peavy ready to commit?...cuz, that's what they are gonna do...to this asylum...

We could be the ancient Padres...a last settlement for the oldies but maybe goodies...OK, I will try to give the bloke a break...maybe, just maybe, he has a master plan that he is keeping away from the public...hmmm, let's just say, it is well hidden...

Stop the Horse...on a runaway streak in the bowl picks!...won 9 straight and just has to be in the mix...again...were you surprised at how easily the Ohio St Buckeyes destroyed the USC Trojans...and made their QB, Sam Darnold, run for his fb life?...not really, as it is apparent, that after all these bowl games...the Big 10 (er, 14) is a real powerful conference...and the Pac 12 is not...oh yea, I am now 21-10!...4 more today...

All kidding aside...the Countess has admitted herself into rehab...

Waldo is still missing...and so is the dude who fathered her pregnancy...I guess they are BOTH missing...check the rehab centers...

For those of you who worry about these things...it has been written that Prez T has spent 80 some days at one of his golf compounds...in lieu of the White House...during his tenure as the POTUS...must be the rats...

Nobody, I mean NOBODY has ranted about my selections as Best and Worst of '17...this is a good thing...

We took down our Xmas tree and stuff yesterday...and into storage it went...we were a chuckling...as we thought about who saw what we had put up...as we took painstaking time doing so...the Mackles, the kids, and the housekeep...that's it!...thus, we do it for...mostly, ourselves...I'm OK with that...it makes me feel good...

Your plans for the New Year?...egads, ours is similar to the previous paragraph...having a bit of the bubbly...watch the pixels...see if Mariah can sing without lip-syncing...do this, in the confines of our now...Xmas free condo...and be bedded down by 10...now THIS is what the oldsters do...apparently...

Hey, got to wrap it up...off to the golfing compound...that's what we call it now...thanks to the Prez...take out me new M-2 Driver and WHALE at it...er, with it...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
