Simply Awesome

Hey kids...I got home at half time of THE game...Navy/Army...er, Army/Navy...and watched the rest of it...terrific show!...in the SNOW!...as the weather heads up the NE coastline...these teams are filled with players who have chosen to lead us for awhile...in the service...so, the fray has special meaning to me, and hopefully to many of you out there...

Very similar to last year's game...eerily...as the Cadets marched down the field in the 4th Q for the go ahead TD...and the Middies had one last chance to get the W...a FG try went wide left and the Hudson River inhabitants went wild...they won two years in a row!...hey, it was an awesome game...

Other...

The Houston Rockets beat all of PDX last eve...in the great northwest...egads...this is pure blasphemy...the Beard had like 48 points...many on drives to the hoop for LAYUPS!...give me a break...just horrific D and the idea that he gets to the basket without being doubled...or hammered...is beyond comprehension...my continued prob with this Blazer regime is their lack of a defensive scheme...enough already, time to change...

Alabama...their problem child in the Moore bloke...apparently there are no options for the Repubs...so, they are going to 'leave it up to the people' to decide...go through with the vote...hey, it's not a slam dunk in the negative...really...stay tuned on this...

The Heisman Award...given to the 'best' collegiate FB player of the year...Baker Mayfield...of the Oklahoma Sooners...runaway winner...there is NO way I'd give him the nod...with his repetitive gestures to opponents...to moi, be a part of this, has to be with character...right?...

The Yankees did pull off the Stanton deal...everyone is now playing for 2nd place...want some frustrations?...compare the salary of the NY squad and the San Diego Padres...ha ha...

Tired of this act...for all the notoriety of the San Antonio's coach, Gregg Popovich...his sideline comments to the reporters DURING the game...are embarrassing...his blatant disregard for civility is apparent...treats these guys and gals, like they are scum of the earth...BTW, they must dread having to ask him anything...a mighty Horse pooh to Pop...

Me golf...as bad as I was the previous time out...ah hem, the switch of putters helped...hit a couple of bombs...I was almost dreading what I would do out there...had 7 pars...this is a good thing...there just may be promise on the horizon...of course, I am the eternal optimist...

Update on the FIRES...containment has increased in %...however, there are major concerns as the Santa Ana winds are to return today...the Ventura one is the problem...let's hope that it doesn't do anymore damage...down here...we are so surprised as NO one talks about 'em...out at the course in El Cajon...definitely in a fire zone...no comments...weird...

My PNW buddy, Snooki, has a bowl pool...so, I was studying up on the games...kind of...ran across an 'expert's picks' and he had Boise St beating the Ducks 59-34...wooah...something is amiss, there...so says me...

Hey, how are your malls doing?...isn't this the time that they flourish?...one of ours, is mostly kiosks...the corner stores are gone...like Macy's...however, if we go just west, the Fashion Valley Mall is robust...hmmm, just 15 days 'til Christmas....

The Horse is really pulling for a huge day by the LaLa Rams...totally has to do with Fantasy Football...

Just got news that Montecito (site of son's practice) is on 'voluntary evacuation'...so scary...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
