JFK

For my era, there was but one supreme President...who was the embodiment of the type that we, like England, had in our coveted ruler...our own Camelot...JFK...from an aristocratical family...which had leadership throughout...ie, his dad, and brothers Bobby and Teddy...we, the people, had great pride in him...and the office...

It was a turbulent time for the country...the fear of Communism...the unrest of the bigotry in parts of the south...well, everywhere, really...the Mafia running amok...the exploration of space in the offing...we were going every which way...and then...the assassination...

And the aftermath...where the TV came into our lives on a daily basis...much more than ever before...instead of 15 minute news...it was 30, and...now it's 24 hours a day...we were glued to the happenings shortly after the killing...and we were also dismayed by the 'cover up' of what just happened...

Many books and the like...articles...proclaiming conspiracy theories...geez, I have read most of them...of the reasoning for the assassination of JFK...was there more than one man involved?...was it a plot by Russia, Cuba, the CIA, or the Mob?...or just one crack pot doing what he thought he could get away with?...well, our country did a massive investigation into it...the Warren Commission ruled...and found it to be a solo killer...hmmm...

There are documents that the US has under lock and key...that shed more light on the horrific event...powerful enough to NOT be released to the common man or woman of the country...really...well now, they are to be...this week...stay tuned and see what it is in them...are you fascinated?...yup, me too...

My two teams continue their tumble downward...SDSU and Oregon got handled quite easily...the Aztecs are confusing me...seems that their strength in their O and D lines has fallen apart...and are getting whupped, badly...the Ducks?...played hard, but they are nothing like when they had their starting QB on the field...disheartening...what could have been...

Parity...I keep talking about it...throughout the country...everyone can beat everyone else...but...Alabama...and now throw in Penn St to the elite...on a direct path to the champ game...BTW, USC getting clobbered at Notre Dame...what?...silently, the Irish are 6-1...hmmm...in the mix, too?...

Took me this long to get to the Astros?...sorry beisbol fans...wait...sorry, beisbol fans...there, that is better...they shut out the mighty Yankees...and the networks let out a biiiiggggg groan...off they go to take on the Bums...for the World Series title...should be a good one...

NFL...not for long...if you think you are going to make money betting on these dudes...you will lose your arse...listen to the analysts...shoot, they are flailing about just like you or me...I have no clue to pick...regardless of the point spreads....I guess it's parity...hope it's not money talking...hint hint...

NBA...it's a loooonnnggg season...the Warriors lost again...and are 1-2!...what?...the Blazers got beat for the 1st time...and lawdy, Phoenix could be the worst team in the history of the league...look for the coach to get axed before 10 games...can't fire the players, so he is the one that walks the plank...there will be legendary amounts of point spreads for the Suns...wonder when Vegas will quit taking bets on 'em?...that bad...

Breaking news...the Suns head coach, Earl Watson, was fired today...after 3 games...oh my...has to be a record, right?...

Hey, I'm not too sure of this...but is the Biebs a US Citizen now?...he was here on a special 'performer's clause'...something like that...but, I read that he got formal US citizenship by the acting Prez O back in '14...is this right?...hmmm...

Well, we ventured out for a new spot in Little Italy for dindin last eve...it had nice reviews on Yelp...Italian...and nope...no bueno...the lasagna was way bland...and the roasted chicken...let's not go into this...suffice to say, it was not good...text me for the name of the restaurant...
