I'm Back

The excursion to the north land is now over...unfortunately, not without landing a chest cold, fever and general malaise...slept 24 hours upon returning...egads...the head ache will not subside, dang it...probably take a few days for this to pass...well, enough about moi...

My host, the Snookie, was great...well, he had a back problem...but the stay itself, was...the reason for  the trip...the Duck game...was not...as UO was saddled with a 3rd string QB, a frosh...you can guess the results...going against a team that just beat the mighty Trojans of USC...the O was limited to just a portion of their offensive plays...too predictable...and easy pickings for the Coug D...this Duck team has to hang on, until they get their QB back...might be a winless one on the path...

In my non-stop dozing yesterday, I did see a bit of the horrendous match of the winless (see above) NFL blokes...the NY Giants and the LaLa Chargers...a win for the Chargers it was...I must continue to say this...but NY's Eli Manning appears to be scared to death out on the field...goes down like a tinker toy, and throws before any contact...seek out the armchair dude...your playing days are over...

You following any of these baseball playoffs?...I forget that they are on...let's see...the Bums are beating the DBacks...who else is playing?...

Hey, I'm sorry...but I gotta go...feeling like crap...and need to rest...maybe more tomorrow...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
