Game Day

Morning, kids...nothing like waking up and anticipating GAME DAY!...we are going to celebrate that, over at the Q...hmmm, rumors abound that the name is gonna change...with the opening game of the San Diego St Aztecs...hosting UC Davis...

Fired up?...kind of...as we like the pomp and circumstance of it all...how can you not?...been invited to join in on a tailgate...and gander at the festivities prior to the football...it's all fun...however, not sure if we have any Aztec stuff to wear...what?...

Hot, too...is this bloody weather...83* at game time...for around here, that is a bit toasty...we use the tram to get there and back...walk a few blocks to the station pick up spot...then it drops you off right at the stadium...way cool...

Actually, the season started up last week...for other schools...but this is the night for us...ha ha...hey, imagine this...Colorado St put up 58 points on Oregon St, yet only mustered 3 on Colorado...dog year for the Beavs?...I reckon so...when is the last time Army scored 64?...in football...Glenn Davis and Doc Blanchard era?...all these powerhouse teams, take on patsies, so to speak...it's a money deal for the losers, and a sure thing W for the bigs...usually, on their opening day...

Not so much for 'Bama...as they are in a huge fight with Florida St...winner takes all...and the loser will spend the rest of the season making up for it...I ALWAYS pull against the Tide...

My heart, however, is in Eugene...where the Ducks host the entire state of Southern Utah...UO has a new coach, regime, and a fresh attitude...I am hearing that the hurry up pace is back...and hopefully, so is the D that has been missing for like 4 years...MIA...it's on this eve, too...will tape it and watch when we return...

More sports...sorry you who want other stuff...the Bums came in to Petco...riding a big losing streak...for them...brought Kershaw off the DL...and he mowed down the Pads, like no problem...a 1-0 thriller...not, as SD barely hit the ball out of the infield...just what the beisbol doc ordered up for LaLa...a trip south to heal their wounds...today is a double dip...

My blog yesterday was all about the insidious detective in Utah...you see the video?...this guy is a piece of shit...and NO COP would be proud of his actions...gives them a bad name...for sure...finally, he has been put on a leave of absence...get him out of there...no place for that stuff...

Hey, whenever you think our judicial system seems bad...just read about some others...like in Kenya...where their Supreme Court negated their last election...hmmm, now wait a minute...there are those of you out there, may think they are on to something...stop that Demos...

You still watching Big Brother?...without a doubt, the worst collection of human beings they have ever had on the show...and I am talking attitudes and how NOT to treat other people...right?...

Sept 12 is the launch date for the new iPhone 8...you can probably get one a week later or so...plop down a thousand bucks, and ya'll can get the entry level piece of that phenomena...I'm betting that my golfing partner has one before YOU do...hmmm, seems like I just got my 7 plus...

This is the time of year, that MLB teams out of the hunt...sell off (er, trade off) their players that are near the end of their contracts...one doing so, is the Detroit Tigers...supplying the Houston Astros with a bonafide stud pitcher in Justin Verlander...huge gain for them...hey, you just need 3 great starters to win it all....

Is it just me, or isn't this 'playoff system' in the PGA long and laborious?...I mean, I could hardly care what is what...too many T's...imagine what it's like for the players...these dudes have already made a boatload of cash...just sayin'...

And then there was this...when I bellied up to a bar in Nashville...and ordered a 'Jim Beam and Diet Coke'...the gal at the counter, asked me if I was sure I wanted to do that...shhhh, so no one can hear me...'you know you are in Tennessee, right?'...we have Jack only...'yes maaaaam'...loudly I responded, 'make that a Jack and Diet'...a very true story...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
