Hey, ya"ll...you ever wandered into a diner and ordered something
other than a burger or bacon and eggs?...depending on the time of day...well now, there is this dude who has made a mint out of showing other delights in 'em...throughout the country...he calls it 'Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives'...triple D...Guy Fieri...I think on the Food Channel...terrific show...but...a true diner?...he shows a few...most of the lot are the actual smallish restaurants...whatever, there are some featured around here...it is a BIG deal to get yours on...'Hodads', 'Hob Nob' for two that I can think of, off the top of me head...you have one in your area?...

You ever wonder why most foods are cooked at 350*?...it's called the Maillard Reaction...really...the most opportune temp for most  foods to commingle...what you learn from the Horse...

The more I think of the 'transgender people' ban in the military, the more I am bewildered...what is really behind the proclamation by the Prez?...why is this a big issue?...there has to more to the story...

Dawg days of the beisbol...when your team has established that they are in or out of playoff consideration...the heat is up...and so are the tempers...witness the star of the Nat's...Bryce Harper...go OFF on an ump, who is calling balls and strikes...the most controversial judging in all of sport...well, maybe gymnastic scoring is worse...hmmm, well, boxing scoring is bad, too...OK, it is yet another one...anyway, Harper got the boot...good for TV and bad for the Nat's...

Our Pads did get a W last eve...you know, with our trading of 25% of our staff...it's next man up...'the nature of the biz'...if I were good enough to be in the bigs, I'd hate being a piece of meat...to be uprooted at the whim of a 30 year old GM...who is staring at a computer to read the countless amount of stats...and trade you...just cuz he can...

Imagine...2 brokers in different real estate offices...'hey, I got this terrific agent here, Madalyn...I'll give you her and $3,000 bucks for your guy, Dylan, and your secretary, Carol'...it's a fair trade...

More fallout from the item I talked about sooner than most...the bad liquor being served in the 'all-inclusive resorts' in Mexico...seems that it has been happening more often than not...and very deadly...the list of the complaints continues to rise...

The one hot topic in most of my 11 sources today?...a fair ride in Ohio falling apart...one dead and 7 more injured...I stay off of them....do not trust 'em...doesn't it happen way too much?...even those in Disneyland break down...naw, not me...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
